Tbh like 5 out of the maybe 8 regular posters ITT play FFB together. It would appear that a vocal minority has determined what the majority should discuss. Also, i felt like discussions were limited to mainly Sunday-tuesday, but w/es not like youse guys are posting much anyway. Also, ya'll should embrace the shiit talk; it is what makes life fun (although i am the only one skilled enough to take O down)

I don't know if that's a thing, at least not quite like that. There used to be, and maybe still is, a provision for making a password that would allow anybody who had the password to join by using it, I'm not seeing where to even check for that now since all of my leagues have finalized manager lists and have already drafted. There is a choice to make the league publicly viewable or not when you create it.

It's got people talking about it, nonetheless.
Also, I am humored by people criticizing protesters, saying they should use peaceful protests to get their point across. Yet choosing to sit down - which is about as peaceful as you can get - in protest, is also criticized.-

Seems like there has been somewhat of a push by people to remove the national anthem, due to its original author and the fact about its 3rd verse. People were talking about the violence, but I've noticed lots of conversation about the anthem itself. Also I've enjoyed watching people get so irate about someone not standing and they invoke the military about it and then a whole bunch of military are supporting the Kaepster sitting.

What annoys me is no one is allowed to express an opinion that the angry mob with pitchforks on social media and in the media disagree with.
So much for a tolerant society. Tolerant only if they agree with you.
Unless you parrot the same old PC lines you might as well be a leper. No one will want to know you.
Why can't people express an opinion or make a statement? That's all he did. Insulting? To a lot of people it is. So tell him and leave it at that. Tired of all the BS where someone has to issue a groveling apology, lose their job, etc. because they said something the majority didn't like.

I don't agree with the dumbass' opinion and I do not agree with or support the disrespect shown by such an act, but if he wants to do it, he certainly can as far as I am concerned. Now, if his employer were to have an official policy requiring he stand, that he agreed to when signing up as an employee, okay, they can do that...but uh I don't think that's a thing so it's too late now.
Get over it and move on?

Precisely. That's how I feel. I'm not American but to me it's insulting.
However he's entitled to do it if he wants. People can tell him online and to his face what they think but where they lose me is when they "demand" an apology, go on a crusade with petitions to have him disciplined/sacked/etc. The guy didn't physically harm anyone or commit a crime. Direct your energy to more meaningful causes.

Just to add to that, there are plenty of people who put their hotdog and beer down, get off their fat ass for a couple of minutes to sing an anthem because it's the right thing to do, and then go back to being a scumbag.
They don't make any effort in their everyday life to help anyone or make the world around them any better. They never served. But it feels good to point the finger at this guy, insult him, and demand an apology.

Yep.
TBH, I don't know why we sing the Anthem before sporting events. Honestly, what is the reason behind it, aside from the fact that "we've always done it this way?" Sporting events are for entertainment. Why aren't we also doing the anthem before every movie?
As a veteran, I am indifferent. I can see why some support him and others lambast him. To me, it's whatevs. I also don't think Kaep is doing this for the BLM movement, if people want to get into technicalities.
Also, I don't think him sitting helped his cause, but it has brought awareness, definitely. If he just mentioned the issue at a post game interview, it probably wouldn't have gotten air time. But since he sat, the reporters were clamoring to find out why he sat.
Hahahah holy cow. TBH, I hadn't heard about hte movie. Since i don't have cable, I never know about new movies coming out. Is it a drama? Ugh, it is a drama:
Arthur Brennan treks into Aokigahara, known as The Sea of Trees, a mysterious dense forest at the base of Japan's Mount Fuji where people go to commit suicide. On his journey to the suicide forest, he encounters Takumi Nakamura, a Japanese man who has lost his way after attempting suicide. The two men begin a journey of reflection and survival, which affirms Arthur's will to live and reconnects him to his love for his wife.-
