installed on 07-29, dead on 07-30 lol

Was playing Bo3, crashed mid game, rebooted and just got a black screen. Tried every fix i could find with no luck. Even took apart my HTPC and set up a test bench (using mobo box) to test it on that too.


It was a Palit GameRock 1070, i think Palit and Zotac are the same company. I dont think you get them in the states but its a 2.5 slot card with great cooling, last i checked it had best temps out of the air 1070/80s and about $100 cheaper than the MSI TwinFrozr.

I think im gonna try the Zotac Amp next, 5 year warranty whereas the Palit only had 2 years, and ive seen lots of threads on other forums about dead Palit 1070's. Or maybe get an Evga non FE.

I was happy with the palit as it was so much cheaper, but if they are having common problems i dont want to try another for it to just die within a year and mess about with RMA's, id have to ship it back to Hong Kong.

tfw i realize i could've gotten that OLED for the same price i bought my 49 inch philips (49pus6501). I'm not gonna complain though. I'll tell you when I feel ready to move to a country run by Trump.

My philips is also more than okay, picture quality isn't as good as LG's models, but the ambilight is too good. Brb have ladies over and it sets the mood for dat porno time. U nomsayin?

The one above it is 21" I think. I was going to mount my 27" asus panel above it, but it ended up being overwhelming.


The back is a mess right now, but I'll spoil the magic, lol.


Keep in mind, this is only a temporary set up, until I finish the other half of the desk, and mount the PC as a drawer, under it, against the wall.

Ah I see. Cool deal. I wanted to mount my 27" above the 40", but I was trying to find a mount that would hold both. Didn't even think about just using a second mount above it.

Man that does look good. Only thing that sucks is not all games utilize that reso. It would be hard for me going from 144hz (well 165hz) down to 100hz max. I am sure in the next 12 months they will come out with a 144hz version. They have to. I might look into then.

It cant be any worse then having a 16:10 monitor back in 2004, alot of games only had 4:3 resolutions and FOVs but they were easily manually edited or patched to work

1st thing im going to do when i get home is sell my original rog swift and get an x34 they sound too good to miss out on

I thought it was easier to use than most of the pro level 3D software.

I have it and at first it was very weird. It takes a learning curve, but once mastered it is the best controller. I use it for GTAV for driving and for Rocket League. Everything else is KB+M. I will say it is kinda cheaply built compared to the Xbone controller. The vibration feels cheap too. You can set cool 8bit gaming tunes to it when turning it on and off though. I suggest grabbing one from Amazon. Test it out then if you don't like it return it before 30 days.

I use 3D Studio Max breh so I can't really help. What you're describing sounds fairly simple though, perhaps check a few youtube tutorials?

Been looking at the Zotac Amp Extreme, the fukking thing is 6.4cm/2.5" thick, ridiculous lol. Cant see how thats classed as a 2.5slot card, that must be close to a 3 slot.

So with the new PC I just built, it keeps crashing only when gaming. Fine doing everything else but when gaming it freezes up, no error messages thrown, just screen freezes and sound loops. I can still start up task manager but nothing registers, I always have to reboot. Have no idea why its doing this. All my drivers appear to be up to date, ran a mem test came back fine, stress test in 3D mark came back fine, temps are fine. About to take it too a shop near me to see if they can figure it out. Pissed though

$20 it is your RAM. What type of ram do you have? You may have to downclock it under the mobo settings.

Crucial ballistix sport LT 2400 DDR4 8GB x2. It is set to 2400 in the BIOS as well. I thought about trying to run each stick individual and also moving the GPU to another slot in the mobo

Try downclocking to 1866 for now. I would say go all the way back to 1600 and run it like that. If no locking up then up it until it locks.
