I've been to RJ. Wasn't robbed, wasn't hassled. Women are absolutely gorgeous and the coolest in the world (IMO). It's really said what the last two political regimes did to the country. Going there actually ruined American/white women for me forever.

I've lived in Sao Paulo for the past 2 years; can confirm Brazil is rampant with corruption, crime, and inefficiency. That said, the country has arguably the most amazing beaches and women in the world. The food is amazing and the people are very warm and welcoming.

Agreed they shouldn't be hosting the olympics given their current economic crisis. In general Brazilians don't want to be hosting the olympics, they would rather the money be spent on infrastructure and public services. Government officials were the ones who wanted to host the games so they could use it an excuse to embezzle more govt money. (serious)
