LOL
But in all seriousness, what I mean (and this going back to my fighting back thread) 10 real dudes would inflict way more harm than 100 fake ones.
When I went to the bar with OS and So-Tex I felt comfortable, I knew if anything popped off both OS and So-Tex would be right there, ya feel me? There are times I am chilling with some of my newly met friends and there is an uneasy feeling I get knowing if something was to happen they would run. I never EVER get that feeling when I am with my peeps from the hood, NEVER.On the list for Bannukah

Understood. I just couldn't help my comedic tendencies. And beside, after I walked over your dead bodies, I promise you I'd rush the shooter while he was reloading .
I know exactly what you mean. You know whether you are sitting down with sheep...or not. There were times when I sat with some odd friends and thought, "Fck, if anything goes down, I'm on my fcking own!" (referring to fighting especially if THEY were the dweebs that started it!) Yeah, I feel ya."If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

Most of US are aware that the Constitution can be amended. It has been done so several times now.
While Mr. Che is an amusing comedian, he is making a faulty comparison. The Constitution does not mention race or color before the 13th Amendment and then to start expanding on rights that were lacking. Amendments have always been made to give right to it's citizens. Never has an Amendment that limits the citizens in any capacity been successfully passed.
So while you can clamor on all you want about statistics, the bottom line is... good luck stripping rights from American citizens. No matter how many times you say f*ck, no matter how many times you call someone stupid, or an idiot, no matter how hard you try to insult or shame others, they (we) will not hand over our rights.

Don't be stupid. You won't be handing your rights over, we will vote them away. You know, how a democracy works.
"Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons."
It did't specifically say "black men", but said if you were not a free person, nor Indian, you were 3/5 of a person.

You just can't help yourself can you? It seems to be the only way you can make a point.

The compromise dictates that only 3 out of 5 in bondage could be counted for the purpose of determining legislative representation. With the influx of slaves in the south, they were able to dominate legislation using a population that they did not allow to vote. The South wanted to count every Slave to determine it legislative power. The North did not want to give any legislative power to those who where in bondage in an attempt to limit Slavery. The 3/5ths compromise limited that Southern domination.
If you really want to read what a racist Constitution looks like, read the Confederate Constitution. The American Constitution purposely (and intelligently) avoided race and slavery in it's initial drafting.
The 3/5ths compromise was nullified after the Civil War.Last edited by acrawlingchaos; 06-17-2016 at 12:53 PM.

I didn't in my last response in which you were calling me stupid... but ok.
Yes, I understand the 3/5ths compromise. good job cutting and pasting.
Still ONLY applied to black people though...
Regardless, the compromise limited the Souths ability to allow Legislative representation based on individuals they would not allow to vote.

Well, we know that gun control would stop terrorist attacks. If only France had gun control laws that made owning those kind of weapons illegal. If they had such a law, the terrorists would not have shot a bunch of people because we know how scared terrorists are of running afoul of gun laws!
Next, they need to have a law on the books that makes mass murder illegal. If only they did that, so many of those Parisians would be alive today.
I hear Belgium is coming up with a law that makes blowing people up with bombs illegal. I say it is about time!It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Estimates are between 20-40 percent. Nearly half of those who willing came to the US from Europe came indentured (usually under false pretenses). These do not include whites from Europe that were transported against their will to include those Pirated or who had been a slave in Europe.
Why would it have mattered? The 3/5ths compromise was an intelligent strategy in limiting the foot hold for slavery?Last edited by acrawlingchaos; 06-17-2016 at 01:29 PM.

We are not a Democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic with an elected representative form of Government, Were not majoritarian or a Plurality, that is Definite. But it does make you wonder—how can a people incapable of selecting
their own lightbulbs and toilets possess enough competence to
vote for their own rulers and fill out complicated tax returns?Last edited by thomashenry; 06-17-2016 at 02:35 PM.

I have a gay son. We are Christians. We love him just the way he is. God loves and created him the way he is. He didn't choose a "lifestyle" -- he knew and told us when he was eleven. He's gay. We're heterosexual. It's as simple as that.
I went to an AIDS charity function the night of this horrific shooting. Afterwards, my son and some of his friends were heading over the what is known as the gay bar in our hometown to have a drink(s) and hang out. I went with them. As I was sitting there it did cross my mind that some people think and say terrible things about them (many in God's name) and what sitting ducks they were in that bar. That thought moved on out of my head as we were having a nice time, talking, laughing and drinking.
The next morning I woke up to the horrific news. Yes, I thought "It could have been us." This horrific massacre has had a very damaging effect to a community which already looks over its shoulder all the time due to society's negative attitudes towards them. I am so thankful there are affirming Christian churches that don't teach LGBT they are flawed for being born LGBT. Jesus wouldn't shun these people the way many in the Christian community have. They have gotten the "you're not welcome here" message loud and clear.
I think my main worries about this man -- who was born in America -- was the fact he was able to get this type of gun, or any gun -- given his history and the fact he was on the terror watch list.
I do think there is some blame to be shouldered by many Christians, and any other groups, who have gone out of their way to deny equality to LGBT people and to marginalize them as citizens/people."For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7
