Thought the episode was alright and I usually defend all the episodes but a couple things bothered me

Brb Daenery's scene, literally nothing happened. She spouts off her titles and they say she can't leave. We already knew that. I thought they would try to brand her and they'd leave no mark leaving them like "wut?"

Sam's scene felt way too long, they should have spent more time on ToJ fight or at least shown Daario and Jorah arriving at the camp to help Dani's scene along. But what do I know.

Highlights:

ToJ fight was one of the best in the series IMO. Right next to Obreyn vs the Mountain. Not the cringey choreography like the sand snakes. I get they wanted to save Lyanna for next episode probably to spend a little more time on it. I did think Ned's actor looked a little weird but whatever.

Arya has her sight back finally. And thought they would hit her when she said Jon was her half brother but no one knows except Ned and Howland

Ramsay getting Rickon, pissed me off when I saw the wolf head but IMO it was small for a Direwolf so hopefully Lord Umber betrays Ramsay but I really doubt it Because why would he give him the real Rickon if he and Sansa are the only known Starks left. No telling Ramsay wouldn't kill him on the spot seeing as though he could be the reason many houses rebel against the Bolton's claims to the North... It is D&D though.

The problem is they are trying to go through each and every side plot in each episode, doesnt allow us to have GOAT dialogue between characters or even build up the story properly.

When was the last time we saw a scene like this between 2 characters


or even this



There is great potential in some of plots going on but yeh so far after each episode I've just felt like meh, already knew that was gon happen. Ricon coming back was not expected but we all knew at some point we would see him again.

It just seems like this season will be a filler season. Then we have to wait another whole year for the next one.

Robert's Rebellion and pretty much that whole backstory is fascinating as fuk, and I can honestly not even explain why. Maybe it's just the scope and magnitude of this universe GRRM has crafted, but all the old politics, posturing, history, etc, in the Song of Ice and Fireverse is edge of seat chit.

Especially Robert's Rebellion, even starting with the tournament at Harrenhal, where all Lords of the Seven Kingdoms and Aerys the Mad King himself were present. Where Rhaegar deemed Lyanna the fairest maiden of love and beauty or whatever, in full view of his wife Elia Martell and all the other top lords and leaders of the land.

My friend isn't even a book reader, but I read out the Wiki page for it and he sat listening to every word after an ep in season 5, just so he could know the whole backstory.

Arya was about to be Daredevil; finally getting good with the stick while blind then she gains her sight back. Is she officially a slayer now?
My boy Jon should have slid Longclaw into that little **** Olly. At least his watch has ended. He can finally go and have an epic battle with Ramsay (hopefully) and meet his dragon.

It's the theory that undead Ser Gregor Clegane (aka The Mountain) will fight a 'reborn' Sandor Clegane (aka The Hound) during a Trial by Combat held to decide Cersei's fate (like the Oberyn battle for Tyrion). The theory is that The Hound did in fact not die, and was found by a Septon (priest) of the 7-pointed star religion (the religion that the High Sparrow follows). This Septon treated the wounded Hound, and converted him to his religion. The Hound, now being a religious dude, will stand up for the faith to fight The Mountain in a Trial by Combat (The Mountain being in the Kingsguard means he can defend Cersei).


It's hyped as fuk because of how supposedly epic the fight would be
