Can't guarantee they're all great, for example their TV smells like ass, although I think legit TV smells like ass too so meh. Only difference in the Aventus was the palermo was heavier on the blackcurrent, rather than the smoke of my legit batch. CH outperformed my legit CH, as did The One.

Hey NZDude, have you ever used Strawberrynet? (this question goes to other aus/nz brahs too) Thinking of getting Pure Havane as TM fragrances are ridiculously hard to find here. Only one i seen in the shop i visit was I think A*Men Ice, its got a chrome bottle with a blue star, never seen any other TM in any other shop. I see these frags get alot of love here and just seen a review of Pure Havane and think it would be great for winter.

Damn, really? What didn't do it for you? I didn't like it until I tried the Pure Perfume version and fell in love on the spot. I find it to be one of the best "nature-like" scents out there. It reminds me of an orange, fresh out of the ground, in an open field of green grass, on a rainy day.



Sounds like something right up my alley. I'll have to get my nose on it next time I'm at Barneys.

I couldn't really put my finger on why I didn't like it. I just smelled it again and it smells too black licoricy to me in the beginning. I just remember not liking it as I got whiffs from my wrist for the night.

Excellent choice. One of my first buys and one of my most worn frags. Just perfect for summer. It is very "citrusy" at first but dries down into a super clean scent

Haha same for me man, I mean I have gotten a few here and there but its rare. Maybe because im always so careful to not overspray, so maybe people just cant smell it? Sauvage has been the one I have got the most comments on but I think its because it projects so well

Yeah you are right. They also have a 10% surcharge because Australian customs considers frags "dangerous goods". The shop I mentioned that I visit sells Tom Ford but thats the only place I have seen them here. Its seems NZ has the same problem we do, certain brands are very to find

Using what ya gave me, Id say try the following and use the gift card for something else ( websites beautyspin and fragrencenet are your friends.

YSL L'Homme Libre: Violet leaf and pepper, masculine in a "princely" sorta way. Its a sweeter/fresher cologne in the same family as Lalique L'Homme de Voyage and Dior Fahrenheit, although without their pedigree. Its a "spray and forget about it'' type of colonge, and it gets fair attention from the womens. Unpretentious but assertive.

Givenchy Gentlemen Only: A spicy patchooli/pepper/vetiver scent that is also fresh enough for summer and spring. One of the most laid back yet non-generic scents out right now. Name fits the bill.

Encre Noire Sport: My sig day to day. Vetiver/grapefruit/ cypress. Cool and dark at the same time. I love this stuff more and more everyday.

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver: A refreshing burst of lemon and balmy vetiver. The more vetiver scents I try the more I think it overrated, but the bottle makes up for it. Very subtle, very classy. Seems to meld with your own bodys scent ( a good thing), seems "personable", thus might be a good sig scent.

Adolfo Dominguez Vetiver Hombre: The most underrated vetiver on the market. Soapy, clean, angular, and masculine. Projection is very loud for the first couple hrs so be careful on the trigger. Is very metropolitan, with enough class to command a cocktail party but also carefree enough to wear to Micky dees without coming off as a prick.

Issey Miyake Intense: A large wallop of citruses and incense laid on a ambery base. Go light on the sprays. Very sexy. For some reason black chicks LOVE this. An ex would press her nose on my neck and leave disappointed when I wasnt wearing it.

Just picked up some L'eau D'issey Pour Homme Issey Mikaye. Smelled a few, including Ralph Lauren, Allure, and Mau au Fraiche but liked this one the most.

As far as black chicks liking it.. Well we'll see I guess lol.


I'll mix up the remaining Mont Blanc and the new L'eau Dissey day-to-day. My 3 Fl.Oz. Mont Blanc lasted for a while with me wearing it almost every day. I guess I never sprayed that much then lol. The new one is 1.6 Fl.Oz., but that gives me more chances to try other stuff I guess.
