It's a really fun sport but then I think back about when I played in high school and realize quickly that I don't want to run that much and have my hands stepped on by cleats again, and all that chit. Spectator sport for me now lol.

    Multiple homemade cupcakes
    Bunch of bacon
4 scoops casein before bed just cause
    ---
    Today's notables
    Lots of Cereal

All I Could ****ing Eat Sushi Hut. Ordered like fifteen items and played clean up for the table. Wooooo! **** the "wasted food charge". I'll never allow that nonsense

This is what I'm hoping for. I wonder if they will both lift at Boss of bosses 3. Its WRPF this time, rather than USPA. I hope they both squat 500.

I remember reading somewhere that Zahir claims he will go 500/300/400 some time in his life. 2645 lbs. Seems stupid, but he has also backed a lot (if not all) of his claims so far.

TBH I think Malan is just being smart, both in his training and in comp. Bumping up his WR 2.5-5kg at a time so he doesn't get injured and burned out before his career his over. He's not a young fella.

I'm pretty certain if Malan could get his hands on a mono and train with it 500kg would be easy weight. But yea I feel like eventually Zahir will surpass Malan. Malan's lifts haven't really moved much in recent years (he squatted 450kg in 2010, he's been benching around 260kg and pulling 400kg for a long time), plus it's not like he could or would get any bigger. Zahir on the other hand is still in the 125kg and he says he will eventually go up a weight class or two. Imagine what he could do if he was over 300lbs.

Was thinking the same thing. Been out of it for almost 2 years now, power output and running ability is definitely sub par. Used to be decently fast for my size. I used to drive 45 minutes to play with one club, but I might be living 15 minutes away this summer. Only reason I'm really considering it.

I'm also like 20+ lbs bigger and way stronger than when I was playing before.

I had barely heard of it before I started playing in high school. Not sure if it was just the people I knew, but after that it just seemed to grow a lot. It's grown a ton on the east coast in the past few years (mainly because of a particular coach that came over from Ireland), but it's definitely bigger in western Canada

Zahir on the other hand is still in the 125kg and he says he will eventually go up a weight class or two. Imagine what he could do if he was over 300lbs.
I dunno, Malan never seems to have trouble walking out his weights. But I agree, I think Zahir will surpass Malan in the near future.

How tall is Zahir? He looks pretty thick for a 275er.

One thing I found mind-blowing about the power mag interview is that the only common language Zahir and his wife speak is English. How do they ever have a proper in-depth conversation?

Just counted my daily calorie consumption for the first time cause I'm bored as fuk. About 3800cal. Sounds pretty low to me but I'm still maintaining/slowly gaining at 265lbs. I thought I'd be closer to 5000cal/day.

Yea I eat exactly the same thing/amount every day, except for Friday night when I become a pig, but then Saturday and Sunday I usually eat less than weekdays cause I don't really get out of bed.

Been pretty much eating the same shiit for 3 years I've just increased the amount over the years. It's the cheapest and fastest way for me to consume the amount of protein and carbs that I need. Being a student I can't spend lots of time and money on food. Takes me 30 minutes max every week to get all my meals ready. I do eat out once or twice a week though.

At 265? Ive been eating 4000/day at just over 220 for the past month or so now and I'm barely gaining. I mean it's what I want, just enough to put me in a slight surplus. Maybe it was just that day? or maybe your metabolism is slow af lol

Weird. You'd think by now he'd have learned Finnish or she'd have learned Russian/Azeri/whatever his first language is. Is the interview available to read anywhere online?

I don't think I could live like that srs, I get super bored of food if I eat it too much. My diet is fuking horrendous though, I just eat what I feel like and try eat enough meat/drink enough milk to get the protein in.
