Been awhile since I've drank anything too nice, tried a 14 bourbon county in a french press with coconut I toasted myself and broken up cinnamon sticks last weekend. Wish I had went heavier on the cinnamon sticks, but it was pretty solid.
Definitely jealous of you guys right now. Trying to drop about 10 pounds, so usually cutting down to just a few craft beers over the weekend and cutting out carbs at breakfast makes that easy to do. Sad how excited I am for the weekend so I can have a few beers.

unfiltered is one of the most misleading terms in beer. filtering really doesnt have much to do with clarifying beer except for expediting the process.
these hazy beers are more driven by yeast, hop oils & protein content of the wort.
i do like them though and think there must be something to itbmbc

Don't care about filtered vs. not filtered on principle, but those East Coast IPAs are killing it right now IMO.
Pray for me bros, Bourbon County share tonight. Cracking a mean list of damn near every big variant - Cherry Rye, Bramble Rye, Backyard Rye, Regal Rye, Vanilla Rye, OG Vanilla, '14 Prop, '15 Rare, and King Henry. I've already had '13 and '15 Prop along with OG Rare so not trerrible bummed they're missing.Eat Less, Exercise More, Repeat Forever

Not really a fan of real ales (more of a Guinness or cider kinda guy) but I was drinking Trooper on Friday night. It's the beer by Iron Maiden (made by Robinsons Brewery which is about 5 miles from my house).
Really good. My father-in-law's local pub has it on draught. Really nice beer.
On the few occasions I've been to the US, I've not once had a good pint of Guinness. It's just not kept or poured properly. I don't think it travels well either though.Strong & Unstable

I came up with something so great last night, I almost gave myself arthritis of my other shoulder patting myself on the back so much.
It happened when I was at the one beer store and they got a second shipment of zomg herpslerm. Guy was losing his mind, I said to him as he was checking out "I heard it's now dry hopped with 50% more malt this year".
I don't think he understood what I was talking about.Official Supp. Misc Beer Policeman

Picked up 2 bottles of The Love Below from Funky Buddha yesterday. Had a glass, it's not bad but not worth $25 a pop. Trading them both away. Last Snow is out next week. Should be easy as hell to get at the brewery, will sell out quick at distro stores unless they get a fuk ton.

Bellwoods makes some fine brews indeed. As does the 'Indie Ale House' and Rainhard. Have you happened to have tried anything from Dieu du Ciel in Montreal. They have some stand outs.
I enjoy some Stone beers though. That is when I have access to it - which is only a couple of times a year and at most a 24 each time. I hear there are a few good breweries in Vermont (Hill Farmstead Brewery, Alchemist).
