Nobody mentioned that Rey is probably Luke's daugter.
1-3 = Anakin Skywalker
4-6 = Luke Skywalker
7-9 = Rey
The family lineage continues
The force is so strong within her because it's been passed down genetically. She's also a really good pilot, just like how Anakin was. She is also from a sandy desert planet, with mommy/daddy issues.

I REALLY doubt they are going for the most obvious thing and she ends up being Luke's daughter. There is just no way they are gonna spoon feed us that. I sure as hell hope not.
Im expecting her to be Palpatine's daughter. Oh and btw, pretty much EVERYONE has mentioned that she could be Luke's daughter lol"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Well, as it's been discussed itt, Kylo was fukked up from the bowcaster, his strong side (right shoulder) had been "cut" by Finn moments earlier and he wasn't trying to kill her while she was trying to kill him.
I guess in the book it also mentions that after killing Han instead of getting stronger in the force he felt weaker.
Lol bruh wot?
Everyone is saying she's Luke's daughterPIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way.
GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.
PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what?
GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.
PIPPIN: Well, that isn't so bad.
GANDALF: No. No, it isn't.

Couple other notes:
-They did a good job of making Leia look mildly attractive, because Carrie Fisher looks beat to **** in every interview she does.
-Think it was by the end pretty apparent Kylo Ren is a bit of a bitch, needed to have his training completed, I got the vibe he is pretty strong in manipulation of the force but his lightsaber skills fairly **** (granted he had a hole in his abdomen).
-Han should have laid it on a little more thick at the end, Ren seemed to be legit struggling but Han's speech wasn't very moving haha.#FreeCryptoBandit

I really enjoyed the film but I feel like they missed it on the plot
It would have been better if the force awakens was actually referring to the dark side especially after episode 6. It could have been the awakening of ren. Instead we kind of got two half assed sides of the force. I guess that may change in 8 though.
And yes ei imagine rey is likes daughter**Always Pick 3 Crew**

We'll see how things play out, but for now I'm quite optimistic about Episode 8.
Whenever a franchise movie gets made, the people involved can gauge the mistakes and audience reactions to fine tune the next film. This happened after Episode 1 -- Lucas realized he dun goofed with a 5 year old kicking too much ass in a fighter and Jar Jar screwing up everything he touched. Of course he turned people off of Jar Jar so badly that he had to dial back Jar Jar's personality a full 360 degrees in Ep 2 and 3. Unfortunately by Ep 2 the available CGI tech was better, and Lucas relied on it to the detriment of the film. Normally, Ep. 3 would have had less CGI due to negative audience feedback, but by then Lucas was just sick of the whole process and pretty much mailed it in with 90% CGI anyway.
Re. Episode 8/9, I wouldn't be surprised to see Rey get badly hurt (like getting chopped up like Anakin and Luke) in either one of them. There's the valid criticism that she did too well in this one. They gave the feminists their hero, got their dreamgirl all built up and can really break their hearts if Rey gets fkt up but doesn't die.
Finn is going to continue white knighting the white girl and won't get anything for it, and black people are going to continue being initially happy that one of them 'made it', only to once again be shown that progressive culture and affirmative action is made to benefit white women only.
Also would not be surprised if Kylo Ren gets 'rescued' by the resistance and all seems well with him turning out a good guy, but then some sith/dark force or Snoke ends up telepathically controlling his actions or occupying his body like a marionette/puppet against his will. Then he could be a loose canon by either killing Leia or by having access to resistance secrets.

Finally saw it and was kind of disappointed, but I'm not a hardcore starwars fan. I can understand the movie getting rated highly by starwars geeks but for the average viewer as a popcorn click I thought the first Avengers movie was more fun. Tbh its quite funny all the people coming out of the woodwork talking about this movie who were never really interested, just goes to show how hard the marketing was pushed. Reminds me of pac/mayweather fight.
Would still rate 7-8/10 but while the movie was ins slower parts my mind was wondering back to the xbox KOTOR games all the awesome lore, Revan, Sion, Nilhilus, the the Sith temples etc and how much better that would have been on the big screen. fuark.

I would agree to a point. But she calmed her mind and the force helped her like it helped her her father Luke. He was able to shoot into the exhaust port on the Death Star that was no bigger than a womp rat...so...
But As Kylo goes whose to say that he was good, I mean the dude had tantrums when he wouldn't get his way. He could have been going through it and was totally distracted.--Leo

Out of the many things that makes this an overrated letdown, one thing I haven't seen discussed:
Wtf is "The Resistance" when the rebels defeated the Empire in Episode VI? The rebels/resistance would then become the ruling regime, and The First Order/Empire would be now be rebelling against the established Republic/former rebels
They also blew up Corassant and mentioned something about this will be the last day of the Republic.
So we have
The Republic
The Resistance
The First Order
WTF
The Republic/Resistance should be the exact same side, but they seem to be differentiated, HOW. And if they are the same side, WTF are they doing being called The Resistance, when they are ruling. It's now The First Order rebelling and trying to get power back
Clear error here for this already overrated PC trash of a movie

I think it was quite clear that everything was in shambles/disarray after ROTJ, and the remaining powers are scrambling to reorganize themselves to regain control of everything. The First Order represented the totalitarian regime or what's left of the Empire, while the Resistance is a group of rag-tag, cobbled-together fighters who are probably doing their best to fight the First Order with far less resources and equipment support from a very weak Republic.
It seemed like both sides (First Order and Resistance) were weaker than than they were in ROTJ. The "Death Star 3" was huge but it was basically a structure/weapon built inside a small planet core, and therefore less impressive than the previous Death Stars for that reason.Last edited by WrathOfPecan; 12-24-2015 at 03:40 AM.
