Was loling at that thread too, especially the idiot "functioning alcoholic" because drunks are the ones that would be interested in spending more for one beer and also be the ones interested in the taste of alcohol. Moron.
Yesterday was able to buy tickets off someone for FOBAB. Will be my first time at that event, but have heard awesome things. It is walking distance from the train too, so no driving needed thankfully.*Only drive manual crew*

Same. I dont understand the sentiment that if someone enjoys something you dont they must be trolling. And to echo what HotCheetos was saying... alcoholics buy the cheapest booze possible because they want to be drunk, not to enjoy the taste of the alcohol.
Edit: Although, I do understand how someone could drink some of the more poorly done IPAs and be completely turned off by them after. The first time I had West Coast IPA I almost poured it down the drain at the bar.

Since Ohio doesn't get geese burrbud country because ABV law, I thought about sneaking back into NY for variant raid at this one grocery store who stocks beer at 6am for bcbs.
Then I just found out that the entire half of the state won't be getting ANY variants. LOL, people are raging so hard right now and I'm loving it.Official Supp. Misc Beer Policeman

no nilla rye, no care.
Funny though that here in Seattle/Tacoma everyone is super against ABInBev and "corporate sellouts" like Elysian/10 Barrel, but the minute bottle shops announce they will be getting BCBS + variants there are over 500+ attendees for Black Friday events.Common Sense Crew

I know a spot in seattle is getting all the variants (including .rar)
I asked the girl at our local taproom and she wasn't sure... I'll talk to the owner soon and see. At the very least, we'll see coffee and bwine like always.
I honestly only give a **** about nilla though.
and maybe a regular for my vertical... but I heard that age doesnt make any difference so there's no point.Common Sense Crew

I didn't like vanilla all that much and had willingly skipped it when it was on a ghost tap at a bar 10mins from my house about four times or so because idgaf.
But they're not getting ANY variants whereas they used to up till this year. No buttholewine, no coffee. Meanwhile a store in NYC already has their 20 cases of dot raaeeerrr, so rare 40k bottles rare, and apparently propreciators.Official Supp. Misc Beer Policeman

Flesh, you are being requested.

Also agree that DSN kills Blourbon Clowntee. I couldnt care less about .RAR or squeezing into a maximum capacity bar for $2/oz pours of said beer.

Went to one of my usual bottle shops to grab a christmas bomb and a few other random things and the owner says "hey I'll put you on the list for bourbon county if you want" I said sure (figuring if he has some set aside instead of me waiting in line and the mark up isn't bad I'd grab a bottle of rye to age and some coffee or whatever), he then says he is thinking of requiring people to buy a 12 pack of some other goose to get any bourbon county lol. no thx jeffe

^no doubt BCBS is good-but definitely don't think it deserves all the hype it gets, their coffee is the only one I would go out of my way to get a pour of considering how fresh it is w/ intelligentsia (coffee snob checking in). Also LOL @ $90 on premises, we cable car now misc.

[Coffee] Dark Star is Fremont (WA), Darkstar November is Bottle Logic (CA). Both awesome beers though for sure.
@BCBS talk, we're only getting regular here in the Springs, while Denver is getting everything. Not worth it to drive all that way and deal with the chit show that is sure to ensue just to pay jacked up prices for said bottles. I will not be among the crowd saying it sucks though since I have enjoyed every single Bourbon County I've tried (BW, Coffee, Prop, Rare, OG Nilla, Nilla Rye, Backyard, and of course regular).Eat Less, Exercise More, Repeat Forever

Not a coffee snob but I had a 5oz pour of the '15 and it was delicious.
re: Rare, the pricing was really dumb because a 4oz pour was $15 and the entire bottle is 16.9oz. So if you just wanted to drink the whole thing you could've paid for 4x 4oz pours and saved $30
pretty decent event overall. full pours of BCBS were only $8 which is the price of a bud light in my area.
