Exclamation PPLx2 NO LAGGING ARMS? Need best revision of PPLx2

    Hey.

I've heard great things about PPLx2 and am interested as its a pure hypertrophy program for 6 days a week (coming off PHAT with two rest days and two strength oriented days) however i've heard arms can lag on PPLx2 and i was wondering if there was a revision of the program that was the best for building a level physique! Thanks!!

First of all, there's no such thing as a "pure hypertrophy program". And the only reason why your arms may lag, is because you're not gifted with the ability to grow huge arms.

Arms will not lag if you eat properly and lift with intensity.

I've heard that arms CAN lag on PPLx2 and I'm simply wanting to know what is the best revision of the program to prevent this? Thanks!

dont worry about something before it happens. do you have already well developed arms ? what kind of routine were you doing for your arms ? i dont think your arms will atrophy while benching rowing heavy weights.. and dont ppl routines have any direct arm work ?

Any good PPL routine will have accessory work for the triceps on push day and the biceps on pull day.

Make sure you do them at the end, so your arms aren't too fatigued to go heavy on your compound movements.

Also, in my opinion, there is no need for a ridiculous amount of different arm exercises. Choose 1 or 2 each day for a total of 6-8 sets AT THE MOST. You could probably get by with just 3-4 sets. Remember that pressing and rowing are great for building muscular arms and isolation arm exercises are really just assistance exercises.

What is the best PPLx2 program that has the accessory exercises at the end like you suggested? Cheers

    Try this one:

    Coolcicada's Push/Pull/Legs Routine

But I personally would add the deadlift to the beginning of the pull day.
