    Weekly weight loss during cut?

Hello everyone, I started my first cut today. I have been asking questions about this new phase and had one more question.

How much weekly weight loss is the goal while attempting to keep as much gains as possible? .5lb, 1lb, 2lbs, etc.

My current diet is high in protein to reduce risk of muscle loss.

Depends on your timeframe really but .5lb - 1lb a week would be perfect keep your eye on the mirror though too as you may get leaner but your weight loss will probably not be linear.

There is no magic number, but in theory the slower the better.

My maintenance calories came out to be between 2900 and 3200 depending on the Activity Factor I use (1.5 or 1.6).

I decided to start my cut at 3500 calories and monitor progress there. I thought a 1k drop in calories would be a big hit all of a sudden. Also, I tend to lose weight faster now. When I was bulking I had to be dead on and constantly upping calories because I would drop weight if I didn't.
