Getting bloodwork done shortly, will report results then starting ~.2-.5 mg propecia EOD or 3x a week.
I already have a vitamin/mineral supplementation.
Already use regenpure not sure how much it helps.
One thing I have noticed:
My hairloss wasn't really noticeable at all until I moved locations. I went from a agricultural area to a highly industrialized area in southern california at the end of 2012.
I moved got depressed and under ate quite a bit - my nutrition was utter garbage. Consequently I started noticing significant hair loss at this point as well. Allergies are worse, notice a lot of different responses from my body in general.
From there it's continued.
What kind of immunological aspects are related to hair loss? (big question, I know) Can environment play such a big factor? I had a mature hairline a few years ago but density was solid. After late 2012-early 2013 my sister even made comments about me losing my hair where as 6 months before moving it wasn't even noticeable.
Another thing...my pattern of balding isn't like the normal ones as above. I have some really thing spots in the front area but specifically more so in the middle. The temples are pushed back a bit but it seems like the left and right inner areas of my hair are fine (or much less noticable), just the center and temples.

Does insurance cover propecia, or since it seems to be for vanity purposes only, is it out pf pocket?
Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reached for the last one they had, but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.

Couple studies on it as a help to your schlong circulation, it acts as a precursor to the molecule that normally stimulates your dink if my memory serves.
Recently moved from .5 EOD to every day after a year. Felt like the thinning at my temples was spreading, really bad now with the dosage upper but I suppose that's not unusual right away. We'll see what happens.#FreeCryptoBandit

Month six and a new row of what looks like miniaturized hairs has popped up. I am still shedding quite a bit. On Fin 0.5mg daily, is it time to move on to dut or should I give it more time? Seems forever to still be shedding.

What do you guys think about this? Only 26, which is crazy. I think most people should atleast try meds for 2-3 years before resorting to a HT. Guy never even tried any meds or any type of topical solution. Going straight in for the jump. I hope he realizes that even after getting a HT he'll have to start meds to slow down the progression and what not. Turning 30 this year, and have been on meds since I was 27-28. Still want to try the meds for another year until going under the knife.

Hey guys, I posted a page back asking about my "maturing hairline" -- I got a shorter haircut as recommended and took some pictures of my hair slicked back wet, and I will post some when it has dried. In the past few weeks (srs) I noticed my widows peak thinning out, now I'm not sure if this is from the haircut, but I've never seen it like this, so its freaking me out.
I'm not going to spam the pictures on the page, but ill embed them, if some of you could look at them and see if its MPB?
There are two in the embedded photos of my hair dry. I shampoo'd yesterday so this has no product in it. The rest are soaked and slicked back. (19 years old)
edit: the light might be making it more thin than it is, not sure..

You have an intradesting situation going on thar ^. Might need a derm to check that one, I see what you are saying about your widows peak. After the first few pictures I thought you were fine, but it doesn't look like traditional balding that is easy to point out (minaturizing hairs around the temples).

Lol so my crown is pretty thick now, just the hairline that's bad.
Anyway, was just rolling some hair curler into my hair and to my surprise a whole ton of hair kind of rolled up as well with it. Not enough to cause spots but geez.
I'm guessing this is the routine rogain/fin shed that everyone talks about...
I asked that dude for the name of the doc as $6500 is a steal but he never responded. Doubt he's gonna do anything though.
When I went to that doc you pointed me to in Beverly Hills he advised me to come back in 3 years and take rogaine/fin nonstop in the meantime so there's a better idea of what will be needed. The above post is a 100% complete lie

The rest of my hair is thick as hell. It may not look like it, but that's probably the lighting and me having very straight, Eastern European hair. The last time I checked my crown it was fine, I'll have to check it again today though..
My temples definitely "receded" within the past 3-4 months, I was scared ****less but it stopped within the last month so I deemed it a maturing hairline and was fine with it. They still haven't moved (knock on wood) -- but now the widows peak got thinner, at least I thought.. So yeah, I'm hoping everything just stays the same and it was just 'maturing'
here are the photos when it was not soaked, but damp. -- to note-- I have a high forehead and high hairline already (since i was born)
edit:could I just have low-density hair? Hopes to look like this guy when im older

Well I tried the nizoral 2% my doctors gave me. For what its worth I think I just might be allergic or something to ketoconazole. Cuz just like regenpure it gave me a headache and made me shed more when I tried it. Hell honestly I feel a little sick to my stomach even. And my head only hurts where I put on the nizoral same as what happened with the regenepure meh~

A little update.
Finasteride has done wonders for me, a year and a half in and I couldn't be happier with my hair.
However, I've decided to lower my dose this past week from 1mg EOD to 0.5mg EOD.
I have to say, the mental side effect was very real for me. I definitely feel 100% better with the lower dose. Feel sharper and more decisive with my thoughts. I should also note that I'm cutting back on caffeine, since I was overdoing it at work. I'm yet to see the cause for feeling spaced out and apathetic earlier.
I hope I can keep my hair as is with lower doses. Will report back later.Last edited by xRedStaRx; 03-29-2015 at 01:49 AM.

I've been on it for so long, it's hard to tell really. But the cognitive improvement was very obvious on cutting down finasteride and caff. I'll still see if it was only finasteride, or a mix of both.
I typically began to see improvements past the third month. Peak results were after a little over a year, and I'm still hovering slightly below that as of yet. Improvements over baseline in the first year should be the best sign that things will improve even more as you go on 2,5, and even 10 years down the road. But I'm willing to cut down a little to keep what I have, and try to live without any medication issues that may affect me.
Will keep updated in a few weeks on doses and results.PhD in Hairloss bro-science
