After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

It definitely does something
You can see a huge difference in ROM in just a few weeks after putting a newbie on it for the first time. Putting someone on it for the first time and they can't swing much past 90 degrees. Whereas, I can swing the thing damn near lock to lockTraining log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165829701

So just doing some shopping around/browsing and put together what will potentially be my gear order for my first meet.
Just figured I'd get some opinions and possible alterations before placing the order.
Singlet : Inzer Lifting Singlet
Deadlift Shoes : Reebok CrossFit Lite High Tops
Squat Shoes : Adidas Powerlift 2.0
Belt : Forever Level Belt 13mm
For the shoe selection, I just don't see myself dropping the extra $100 for a pair of Adipowers or Romaleos at the moment, at least not for my first meet.
Depending on how I feel after the meet, and if I decide to continue competing, I may go ahead and upgrade at that point.USMC (2009-2013)

That's going to be a lot to get used to for your first meet
A 13mm lever is a lot of belt just so you know. I have one and only use it for squatting. If you're relatively lean, its going to be uncomfortable as chitTraining log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165829701

Interesting...maybe I'll just go with my Chucks for the first meet and invest in shoes later if I decide to continue competing.
Thanks for the tips.
just practice meet commands and know that feds little rules such as do feet have to be flat when benching can head move
Feet are allowed to be elevated, just have to ensure toes remain in contact.
Didn't see anything in regards to head movement so I'll have to go over that again.
Hardest part at the moment is simply having someone to practice commands with, as I lift solo at 5am for the majority of my training sessions.
My fiance trains with me on the weekends, so I'll just have to start putting her to use on those days.
Would you suggest the 10mm instead?USMC (2009-2013)

I'm a fan of prong vs lever belts. I have a double 10mm and the double can be a pain in the ass if the notch you're on is reeaally tight, but I've learned to deal with it.
You also see a lot of guys ordering replacement levers because they break, but idk how often this actually happens.B. Kinesiology
