Audit was silly. First testlet was pretty easy, so second testlet must go to rocket science level obviously.
The questions were worded so oddly I didn't even know what 10 of them were asking.Union Strong. Workers are stronger together.

okay so after procrastinating for a few months, i finally decided to get my **** together and start working towards getting my cpa. im a bit confused on the process however. do i apply first and then wait for them to approve, and then start studying? i was working on the application but was worried that after i submit and pay then ill have a to schedule my test shortly afterward. help brahs. oh yeah, for the transcripts, can i send them to the board myself (they're sealed) or do i have to have my schools send them direct?

As far as studying...I applied first and then once approved I scheduled my exams. However, once you are approved and get your Notice to Schedule (NTS), you only have 9 months to schedule and take all 4 exams. If you think you'll need more time than that start studying now. For transcripts, I had my university send it directly to the board. Pretty sure that's mandatory but you can call the state board or go to their website.

thanks bro. also, i have the required credits to sit for the exam, but have not yet fulfilled the 150 hours. i also dont have the one year work experience yet. if i apply and pass the exams, is there a certain time frame that i have to finish my units/get work experience to get licensed by?

damn. well my plan is to start on my cpa and complete all exams by august, and then im going to start my mba program right after (which should get me to 150 hours), but i dont know if ill be able to get the work experience under a cpa for a while. from what i understand, the work experience does not have to come from a cpa firm, correct? as long as im working at a company that has a cpa, and he/she signs off on the hours?

pepper your angus...
recently they made the exam more difficult. you used to get the same 50 questions each time you took it and they told you which sections to fix so if you wrote down your answers and such it made it easy to find which ones you should look back and correct. now you get entirely new questions.
luckily, I passed my 2nd attempt. each attempt took roughly 10 hours. you must be very tedious, it tries to trick you.

Why do you say that? I just compared the new test with the old test and they are very similar. Many of the questions they just changed the names.
Becker recommends splitting up the 2 most voluminous exams (REG and FAR) so that's what I did- BEC, FAR, AUD, and then REG. I really learned how to study efficiently after the first exam, so I'd recommend starting out with BEC or AUD which are lighter on the material (not necessarily easier though)-WetBreast is gonna make it crew-

Brahs.. Anyone with a useful link to UML class diagram design ?. You know, how to figure out what classes you need, and what multiplicities and associations to create. I'm not talking at a program level, I'm talking about writing them down on paper.
Got a midterm coming up for Accounting information systems in 4 days and I want to practice a lot, but the material our professor provided is really weak.

-They had us do a project that represents the old double entry system. You buy a kit called "Systems understanding Aid" which comes with all these sample receipts and what not.
-They compare the old way of doing things "Double entry" vs the new way of doing things "REA"
