Before i give possible bad news I wanna say THANK YOU VERY MUCH Lou, Lex, Erica, kCollins, Ham, 80's, Izzy for the posts of support & well wishes!!!
Having a bit of bicep/ delt discomfort and redness after opener squat day ... not sure wtf is going on ... symptoms are of tendinitis but never had issue in that area before so...
Ugh anyway continue this week doing RICE treatment and trying not to freak out. I will decided if competing is doable without further injury by Friday. Obiwan has provided an opinion. Not what I wanna hear of course ... Invincible fools dont like wise, conservative and longevity oriented advice. I could try to hunt the metro for quick DR diagnoses but they'd prob nix the idea of lifting too :/ sadface.jpg ..
I will not bitchout for something thats just oddly uncomfortable & sore.
Positive healing vibes sent my way would me much appreciated my friends.

Am keeping fingers crossed! Sorry you are in pain at just the wrong time, ugh. Why does it always have to happen like this. If you think it is just inflammation, there's still a good chance it will be over with by meet day, but if you think it is something more, please do whatever you need to do in order to heal up. Obiwan is wise to think long-term safety, though you know we hate to hear it . Ice up and eat your pineapples and I hope it all turns around soon.

Thanks everyone for the crossed fingers, postive vides and well wishes sent my way.
@DNG - love that gif its hilarious LOL.
So I am much better 9 days after pissing off my arm/tendons in that last 2 light sessions perhaps since I was in and out so quick I was not totally warmed up as I usually am at those loads
Periodically have a of burning flames sensation at upper insertion point but redness, heat and overall "ouch" feeling have dissipated so the show will go on. Planning to pack a mouthguard in case I need to grit teeth as I have a feeling there will be unplesant moments.
Early wt in is tonight so gonna dry out a bit during day to complete water cut then rehydrate & carb up tonight I am really, really looking forward to dinner"Ego kills spirit. Find confidence in your own progress not in comparison to others." - me waking up 11/21/15

Meet Summary
Thanks guys I was IN but things failed to go to plan. Vids sometime in next few days. You'll get to see me make a rare mental mistake on my opening squat.
Currently recovering in bed - hurting trying not to laugh, cough, sneeze or have to make bathroom trip as movement / standing erect es no muy bueno.
In the end it was that back tweak from last month that flared up to squash DL PR dreams. Although I did finally get that 198 paused bench PR Started getting tight with 3rd squat, had to bury it ... I had just made 2nd one by decision. wipingbrow.jpg.
official wt 157.2 # (didn't make it to 150 like in June)
Squat 320 ... 3rd attempt good to match current PR.
Bench 198 PR ... 3rd attempt. As record holder tried a 4th @ 92.5k (~203#) which I pressed ~4 inches off the chest and no further. Next time.
Dead 325 ... Attempted opener only. Mouth guard came in handy as i barely did 225 in warm ups 5 min later I had to convince myself that even on my worst day just over 3pp is a make-able opener. o__0 Did it then had to be wise enough not to try 2nd & 3rd.
Dissapointed I was. But standing, sitting and walking hurt so YAY for not bombing out ... Someday 9/9 will happen.

Thanks DNG You and JJ's recommendation to try the Maceko BP training program helped bunches. Will run another cycle of that afterI have recovered. 200+ here I come
Thanks Cooper
As soon as I can waddle to my ride I will hit up the massage place and find a chiropractor ... hopefully one of the two gets my lower back to pop and / or relax enough for regular activities.
Broke out the Ipad so I will learn shortly just how painful video upload & editing is with it compared to on the pc."Ego kills spirit. Find confidence in your own progress not in comparison to others." - me waking up 11/21/15

Oh man B! EXCELLENT job on the bench PR! I am so glad Mackeno's helped. It is an insane run but I do think it works! I am sorry about your back. Get the ice and try and get some help soon. I am proud of you. You went and you didn't bomb out. You have been coping with some serious injuries as of late and I know that takes a huge mental toll as well as a physical one. You will get the 9/9! You will get the 200 bench and the 1000 total. I have all the faith in the world in you!

You smoked that bench!! And 203 coming up 4" is awesome, you'll be hitting at least that in the near future for sure. Sorry that the back had to act up during the meet like that but it was a very responsible decision to call it a day after the deadlift opener. Hope it is feeling better, can't wait to see the vids. Lmk if you found a good video editor for ipad, I have no idea what I am doing on this thing either

Thanks JJ & Ham.
The back is much better today, RICE plus meds FTW
For most of saturday my lack of mobility had us worried but treament kicked in and I'm healing from the acute part of this injury.
Next step is to figure out what cause it and how to avoid this painful experiance in the future.
Posting vid shortly though I failed with editing in a smooth ending oh well.

Ninja post.
Thanks 80's. Had a frustrating upload / edit experiance I gave up on the Ipad early on. Used it to watch movies instead So since I was able to get up and about today I turned on the PC at home. . . I took off from work knowing I'd be sore/tired.
Even gotta a walkin Dr visit in this morning but not a chiropractor yet. Found a practice 2 mi from home where there are ART certified chiro's who are athletes and know how to work with them as wel... Cross my fingers that I don't have to wait a month for appt.Last edited by beatha; 11-10-2014 at 05:48 PM.

Nice lifts at the meet B! I'm impressed with your arms and back acting up.
Hopefully you can get into that chiro soon, sounds like they would be a good choice since most chiros have no idea about athletes and how those injuries can differ from the common populations
Speedy recoveryIf this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.
I like eating, it helps with the not dying.

Your lifts looked great. I felt that deadlift lol, could definitely tell that it hurt. Hope you are getting healed up this week and the place with the ART certified chiros sounds very promising.

Hai ya amazons Happy Monday!!!
Thanks for asking ... I am feeling 1000 times better this week compared to last. But for the discomfort I felt like i was ready to peak and bust all my PR but anyways lol.
A week removed the aches/pains only rise to level 1-3 at worst ... the new spine, disc and sports place has done wonders in 2 sessions ... kicks off with icing, electro stimulation, ultra sonic wand does something or other then moist heat pad on the back leads into chiro releasing muscles i never knew about and finally spine popping adjustments ... bea is on the mend
It will be boring as heck up in there till december at the earliest. goal for deload / recovery period is to stay in mid 150's and not blow up with lack of exercise.
Will flyby into you'll journals drop a gif or two and not just lurkLast edited by beatha; 11-17-2014 at 06:37 PM.
