I hate to make this thread, but it seems like some guys think that incident is exclusive and rare in top level bodybuilding. Far from it.

Do some reading from guys who were in the scene and well connected. There's a lot of stuff around. Tom Platz and Chris Cormier were banging each other's brains out for years. The guys who RUN these events, like Jim Manion, are sexual perverted deviants and their stories are well known. The whole industry has always been a disgusting place

I don't see how him winning would have any more adverse affect on the perception of bodybuilding that it does giving him 2nd.

It's not like just because he's not winning nobody knows who he is.

Kai has millions of fans around the world, and is one of the most visible and widely known athletes in the IFBB.

In fact, he actually has more followers than Phil does on social media like ********/Instagram.

Even some of my friends who know nothing about BBing know who Kai is.

I think it has more to do with the fact Kai is more eccentric and "weird" and Phil is more of a typical bro, better to appeal to the mainstream.

That's the thing, it is legit. Some of it exaggerated, but within the realm of truth. Best not to continue reading and digging if you want to protect your love for the sport though. Like I said, I hate this chit and it makes me sick, makes me disgusted by the sport so I prefer to ignore it, but it truly is the reality of it all. The Jimmy guy I just quoted, who was in his 70's, also exposed Jimmy Saville years ago for being a sick **** perv.
