I was thinking this was appropriate measure before I ever heard of it.
I was going to guess a student got bad grade and madness ensued. Then I thought maybe the TA of the teacher that teaches in your classroom before/after.
The shading (or the angle of them) looks a little CGI, but I don't doubt your integrity.

The new gym at school has one of those basketball dispensers for shooting threes. It's great, it gives you a workout cool down without the need of a person to throw the ball back to you. Makes me run around a lot and stuff if I learn to program it right.
My life is lonely and pathetic.

FTR, mass was a long time rant regular and just tapered off his posting in general. I don't think his bad finish in the rant league had anything to do with that at all.
I like it. Looks pretty awesome.
+ Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery can both lick my taint. I have both scattered throughout all of my leagues and early reports were that both were going to be inactive. I thought about just riding it out and waiting to see if either would play, if not, then nab Santonio Holmes or wait and nab like Hakeem Nicks from monday's game, but figured I'd grab wire people while the entire selection was available. Jeffery didn't do crap, but Marshall blows up for 3 tds, which does end up hurting me in some leagues.
Not to mention, in one league where I played against marshall and that guy actually started him.-

Also, f*ck you Seattle D. In two leagues I have Rivers (one is a 2-QB league). I benched Rivers in both leagues in favor of other options since he was going against the Seattle D which:
"Entering Sunday's action, the Seahawks had not allowed a 200-yard passer in any regular season game since October, 2013 — that's 200 yards, not 300."
F*ck you, Seattle.-

This humored me:
New England committed a zillion penalties on Sunday, Tom Brady passed for only 149 yards and Rob Gronkowski did nothin'. So, naturally, the Pats obliterated Minnesota, 30-7.-

So, Minnesota had a touchdown w/ extra point, or a field goal and two safeties?

I was all set to go 4-5 in my bb.com related leagues, including 3 for $.
Then last night's game happened. I was facing Cutler in one, and facing Marshall while starting SF DEF in another. Those games both swung away from me.
Buuuut Chicago ****ing won the game!!!! Sweeet.
lol
I faced orlando's SEA DEF in Rant league which helped me to win the matchup by nearly 40 points, but I started the SEA DEF in MFC league so ugh

Don't insult cats by comparing them to lawyers.
This humored me too, especially given how terribly they imploded last week.
TD & PAT four minutes into the game. Then nothing for the rest of the game.

Police must be getting soft.
Any reason why they allowed this mugshot?
Should have whipped his face a few times with a "switch" until the smile was gone.

I'm still torn on this whole thing. I was hit with switches (off a cherry tree, no less), rubber hoses, belts, wooden spoons, etc. as a kid, and never thought anything of it when I got older. I distinctly remember having the same wounds AP's kid has now where a little bit of blood was drawn -- cherry tree switches are kind of "prickly" where you remove the little branches off. It wasn't until this event happened that I started reflecting and thought is everyone else just overreacting, or was my dad being an abusive jackass when I was 5-7 years old?
I try to stay out of the convo IRL. Don't want people to think less of my dad for something I never viewed as weird/abusive.
That being said... I guess the police didn't take this arrest* very seriously.

A lot of us would have similar stories. I was on the receiving end many times as a kid. Of course it was probably done to your old man when he was young so the cycle just repeats itself. I know that was the case with mine.
However we're in 2014 and many people will have strong opinions on it. Hitting a 4 year old until they're bleeding and covered in bruises? Not acceptable. It was a scumbag act and smiling in the mugshot confirms what a POS he really is.

Yeah, certainly cyclical. I know what my old man got from grandpa was a helluva lot worse than what my dad dished out to me. Maybe that's why I'm softer than my dad was. Today, no chance my dad would even lay a finger on his grandkids -- maybe a wrist slap at worst. Maybe he's realized something. In terms of AP, I firmly believe that he does not think anything he did was wrong. He may want to start reflecting on that.
One thing I think qualifies as a factor is whether or not chit was done in anger. I remember times I got hit and it was when I had made my parents angry and it was in the heat of the moment. That chit legitimately hurt my feelings more than anything as a kid. Other times, I did something wrong and my mom/dad would say "you can't do this, this is why, etc. and now we have to punish you" and I'd get a whip or two with the belt or whatever and it wasn't as emotionally jarring, I just knew next time I didn't want to get my ass whipped again.
I don't have kids yet, but I have spanked my nieces/nephews on the butt when they do wrong (always just 1 swat) and then I sit them down, tell them they can't do that, ask them if they understand and hug it out and make sure to play with them for a few minutes so they know I'm not mad at them.
Anyway, just my 0.02. In the big picture I hope parents know that hitting their kids while actively angry is damaging.August 2023:

My main question is: So who is the next class act we're going to see in jail/suspended from the NFL? We've got rape, we've got murder, we've got domestic assault, we've got child abuse, we've got dog fighting and animal cruelty.

This brings us into the whole "who decided athletes are role models?" discussion.
And how does an athlete become a 'role model', does that only apply to the ones who are good? The ones who are in popular sports? The ones in sports you are a fan of?
I suppose there is something to be said for the way so many of us watch athletes on TV, root for them, care about how they do, know who they are, rank them in our opinion vs other players, etc.
