I always have trouble getting back into a rhythm again after I go on a vacation. Even the short trip I took back the 1st week of July made it tough for me to get back on track again.
Sometimes you just have to force yourself to do everything you know you need to do and rely on willpower solely for a few days to get back on track.
Once you do that, finding your groove again is usually pretty easy.

Vacationing with family so I went a little over.
The thing is I don't put in calories burned because there is no way to calculate it but I did 30 mins of (pretty intense I'd say) elliptical and walked for at least 5 miles if not more. For someone like me (254 pounds) that should be at least 200 Kcal burned right? That's how much I went over by so wondering if I covered it up with my cardio.

I ate about 3400 cals today. I thought I was going to work a 16 hr shift but it ended up being a 12 hours as a nursing assistant in a retirement home. I probably ate to my tdee for this day so I am not really sweating it. Im treating it as a Refeed day as I was feeling depleted. Back to the grindstone tomorow

Hey Nate, can you throw a link to the spreadsheet into the first post when you're around, that'd be excellent

Your Total Calorie Burn/Mile When Running = .75 x your weight (in lbs.) x # of miles run
Your Net Calorie Burn/Mile When Running = .63 x your weight x # of miles run
Your Total Calorie Burn/Mile When Walking = .53 x your weight x # of miles walked
Your Net Calorie Burn/Mile When Running = .30 x your weight x # of miles walked
Net calorie burn subtracts your BMR, the calories you would've burned anyway. So if you're 254 lbs, you're burning 76 calories per mile you walk, vs 160 calories per mile that you run.

Yay! Yesterday was the first day I didnt cheat at all on my macros. Didnt eat out late at night and kill my calories, didnt give in and buy a bunch of chocolate...just really focused on getting my protein instead. So yep, im feeling good :-)
The nation-state and society seek to control the body in a myriad of subtle ways, so if you are going to fight for the right to do with your body what you please, why not make it a battleground worth fighting for? ;)

Dat chocolate is the big weakness huh? nice job!
On a side note, I really wanna do a strong day of IF and go to Friday's for their endless appetizers with just boneless buffalo wings. Sounds sooooooo gooooood. And without any dipping sauces only 730 calories per plate...2200 calories for 3 plates of boneless wings.Last edited by Strobe57; 08-10-2014 at 09:29 AM.
