i forgot what i said but i got a lot of chit for correcting some dude on this video lol. guy was suggesting that these folks should be shooting in the woods and not in urban environments because russians bomb cities and everybody would flee to the woods they know nothing about, shoot less because 5.56 is master race .22 caliber death round and 1 bullet is good enough and that targets dont shoot back so logically should just be shooting things that shoot back. basically saying that anybody who shoots at this level is not gaining anything but just wannabe soldiers. im sure he was tier 1 operator LRRP company SEAL team 10 101st division SOCOM regimints huehure
fuking lmao

A shout out to Troy. I am sure everyone here knows about their great products. I have had a set of folding battlesights for a few years and during my last PCS move I lost one of the rail nuts for one of them. I reached out to Troy to let them know and they asked for my address and got the piece in the mail for me. Not a big deal, but they could easily have charged something for it.
Edit: Having not purchased anything from Troy since 2008 (a pair of battlesights) I was unaware of any issues with the hiring practices of the company. Hopefully at some point in the future they correct their policies and release a statement that meets the requirements for those they have offended.Last edited by JBjunior; 07-27-2014 at 11:33 AM. I was unaware of Troy shennanigans up until recently also. I dont own any of their products and dont plan on purchasing anything new or used in the future
I did unknowingly buy their carbine from dicks back during that whole fiasco and ended up selling it 3 months later once the panic hit.Last edited by OrificeSpunk; 07-27-2014 at 11:11 AM.

I have the pair of battlesights that have/had been the gold standard for folding sights. I guess I figured with "Troy Rails" in the subject line people were still fans, as I am sure lots of people still are (evidently Relentless). Anyway, I apologize if I offended anyone, the actions at Ruby Ridge are important to me as well.
On another note, didn't a different company hire some of the parties from Ruby Ridge as a spokesman earlier last decade and it created a ****-storm?

It's actually very simple and can be done very quickly once you get it down. The number one man is never wrong and dictates the flow of the team. You also typically won't clear a room with more than a fireteam.
7-196. On the signal, the team enters through the entry point (or breach). As the team members move to their points of domination, they engage all threats or hostile targets in sequence in their sector. The direction each man moves should not be preplanned unless the exact room layout is known. Each man should, however, go in a direction opposite the man in front of him (Figure 7-11). For example:
- #1 Man. The #1 man enters the room and eliminates any immediate threat. He can move left or right, moving along the path of least resistance to a point of domination—one of the two corners and continues down the room to gain depth.
- #2 Man. The #2 man enters almost simultaneously with the first and moves in the opposite direction, following the wall. The #2 man must clear the entry point, clear the immediate threat area, and move to his point of domination.
- #3 Man. The #3 man simply moves in the opposite direction of the #2 man inside the room, moves at least 1 meter from the entry point, and takes a position that dominates his sector.
- #4 Man. The #4 man moves in the opposite direction of the #3 man, clears the doorway by at least 1 meter, and moves to a position that dominates his sector.
7-197. Once the room is cleared, the team leader may order some team members to move deeper into the room overwatched by the other team members. The team leader must control this action. In addition to dominating the room, all team members are responsible for identifying possible loopholes and mouseholes in the ceiling, walls, and floor. Cleared rooms should be marked IAW unit SOP.Misc Firearms Crew

Path of least resistance. The door swung to the right, making the route to the left the easiest route to take. He's not necessarily supposed to take the threat that's at the 12 of the room, but his 12. Room structure (like corner door) dictates this as well. I was in Astan when that video was posted, not me lol.
