i dont understand the point of trophy requirements either, i TH sniped up to crystal league last week but i hate it up here. im going back down to the 1300-1500 range

we range from th5s who just started all the way up to TH9s

I sniped up o crystal too and didn't like it. Crazy loot compared to Gold, but it was harder to find pump raids. I'm sitting at 1700 right now and I keep finding some insane pump raids.

So i read here that having 1 giant and the rest wiz is the best CC because the giant will come out first and tank, but the giant is slow as fuark and the wizards always get attacked first..am i doing it wrong?

Try making sure the enemies CC+BK+AQ have some distance from where you plan on dropping your CC. The giant needs to be able to come out and walk a little.

Most of the time, I will have an extra giant cooked in my camp and use this as a distraction before I drop my CC. Either that, or I'll drop a single loon and let all the troops chase it while I follow up with my CC + BK. It's not necessary, but I'd rather be safe then sorry. It all depends if someone has already attacked the base and you know what's in the CC versus going in blind.

I also follow up with my BK right away to give the wizzies an additional meat shield.

Make a big box with walls
Center mortar and storages.
Put defenses inside by storages.

Collectors and th outside walls

I should've made it clear but i was talking about CC defense..but I do like a giant for luring out cc if its hard to get to or a balloon sometimes.

trophies are the key, not going to find much dark elixir with sub 1400 trophies. Try to get to 1450+ trophies. Use 3 lightning strikes (******* way of doing it but it works). Find th9 or th10 bases with dark elixir, lightning the storage then kill the drills with troops. Only lightning strike the storage if theres 1k+ dark elixir as loot or else its a waste. Th9's and 10's have multiple upgraded de drills and you can get heaps from them. Make sure the drills are full before you attack. HGere's a picture that shows how you can tell the difference, note the little box:

That's what i did, have raided 30k+ de in the last week and have lvl 5 barb king. Only just got th8 and i'm still doing this

they prefer you to have like maxed TH9

nah probably best is 2 witch 1 wiz 2 barb, or 1 witch 2 barb and the rest wizards.

This is the best TH3 layout IMO. My gf is new to the game and that's the layout I made for her. When that layout is fully maxed out, the noobies have no idea how to attack you lol.

Tbh it's a th3 just focus on getting loot and upgrading everything. I wouldn't worry about base designs until th6/7 when you start to get more and more defensive buildings
