Dymatize protein prices rise dramatically?

Is it just me or has the dymatize protein prices just risen dramatically on bodybuilding.com?

I'm from Canada and within a day the price of the elite whey 5lbs has gone from 50 something dollars to 63, and the ISO-900 5lbs has gone from 73.99 to 84.99.

Has anyone else noticed this? I've been ordering these products for a long, long time, so I'm very aware of how stark this contrast is.

I miss 2004 when I first started buying supplements. I got 10lbs of ON whey for 50 bucks. Tasted like crap, but so did everything else at the time.

Thats pretty expensive even though its protein. Thank god MyProtein hasn't increased the prices of their Impact Whey Protein

Protein prices of all brands have been increasing recently. The way of the market right now and prices will only increase in the future.

Prices are comparable to Optimum Nutrition now. No reason to order Dymatize anymore.

Protein prices are pretty consistently going up across the board, it's not really avoidable.

If you have something that's really cheap and the price never goes up.. well..

I don't know if the OP has noticed, but the price of food in general has been going up as of late. It is not isolated to protein powder, and certainly not to Dymatize.

It indeed did happen overnight, most of there proteins are on clearance right now at a good price ( getting rid of the old formula stuff I believe )
If you like the product/company keep on supporting to help keep costs as low as possible!

The list price on BB.com for Dymatize products is now only 2-3 dollars less than the evil three letter retailer in canada, and that's not including shipping. It's a shame as I'd rather give my bussiness to BB.com

actual protein whey supply and demand wasn't or isn't the issue, people didn't just flock and decide to start drinking whey protein. it was the price of milk that increased a couple years ago due to high demand in milk, driving up the cost of whey as well. the price of milk has finally started to come down, so i would think the price of whey should also start dropping. it most likely won't anytime soon as the companies are having too much fun running to the bank to cash those checks.. the only thing that will drop prices back again (IMO) is when companies start competing to sell more reasonable priced whey protein and what people are willing to spend on them. me personally i will only spend X dollars on a tub of whey and if the price continues to go up i'll just buy more whole foods instead.

The Elite Whey and Iso100 has been the same since Oct 2012.
Elite XT price has been virtually the same for several years although they changed the sizes from 4.4lbs to 4 and 2.2 to 2lb.
Fusion 7 is cheaper but smaller size and Elite Gourmet hasn't change since Oct 2012 as well

Dymatize quality is on par but it tastes a helluva lot better than ON.

Whey Fruity, ErgoPharm's Whey... there were some damn good tasting wheys out there at that time

I miss those prices, super high end highs cost as much as amino spiked economy wheys these days.

Hopefully the raw prices wont increase too much more in the coming years.
