Only way to end that situation other than letting him in that club was to just straight up knock him out.

Most times I get a cocky dude in my face I usually try calm him down, and if things get heated i usually push him away, but there may be times where i literally have to drop him straight away. Depends man

Best rule of thumb is never to act with physical aggression / violence until you're touched and in a position where you need to defend yourself. Then act fast and without hesitation.

This. I enjoyed watching that guy get knocked out because he was being a huge *******, but this kind of chit can go wrong and the guy hits his head on the concrete and goes into a coma. Should have just pushed him, save the ass beating for when he actually needed it.
