Regarding race tech trickling down to bikes... it does. But once it gets affordable. It's not like many people would buy a $25,000 sportbike, so they do what they can for the price point the market will support.

No doubt there's a lot of politics in F1.

I'm sure if Marquez could speak freely on the issue, he would be against Honda looking to penalize the competition. Every real racer wants to prove it to themselves and to everyone else that they are in fact the best. That's why Rossi left Honda for Yamaha.

well dad was riding to work today and car decided to turn for no reason (claimed was doing a uturn) and dad just hit him managed to keep the bike up but written a clip on off along with clutch lever, nose cone and indicator about £600 worth of damage to his 1996 cbr 900 but guys decided to pay cash rather than insurance

I highsided over 3 months ago and my injuries still have not healed completely. I went down at about 20 and impacted on my left wrist and knee, and flipped onto my right shoulder hard. My rotator cuff is still somewhat painful when doing military presses and some other things, but I can do pulling exercises pain free.. My wrist cannot bear body weight without pain. Seems injured around the hamate area. I got xrays after the wreck and the resident doctor said nothing was broken, so I figured it would heal. If there's no broken bones, any other ideas what the injuries could be? I really don't want to pay for MRI and all that, which I realize would show more. At this point though, I likely will because I'd have expected both injuries to be healed by now.

I have health insurance. I still have a 10% coinsurance and am currently undergoing a very expensive treatment for liver disease unrelated to the wreck. My medical expenses are quite large right now, I'd like to avoid additional expenses. Just looking for input, thanks for whatever assumptions you've made though.

I just guessed about the speed, was likely a bit faster. It launched me 5 feet high maybe (over the front left of the bike), if I had to guess. I was pulling out of a parking lot when it was in the 30's out (cold tires), on some tires with quite hard compound and just lost traction. Making a right turn and getting into the left lane (no traffic), it's possible that I hit gravel or something, but I think it was really just a moment of carelessness and I gave it too much throttle while leaning, tire broke loose and caught me by surprise. Lean angle and cold tires reduced traction.

I've been riding for >10 years now and never had a serious wreck. It was a really stupid wreck to have too. Humbling, and a needed reminder I suppose.

Anyway, I'm mostly concerned about the hand, so I'll probably end up getting an mri of that.

I don't own a duc, but I like their mirrors on the 1098's and up etc. But I'm sure you're aware of Rizoma and all of the pretty stuff they make.
