Haven't you been paying attention? After 9/11 every real aircraft was grounded. These are new time brah. We don't get to make that this is the land of the free statement and have it count like it use to.
All that's needed is for some official to say national security and someone will come in your house and confiscate your remote and bring you in for questioning. There's been a huge change is the paradigm from what we can and cannot do as citizens. Therefore, a bit of prudence -- and common sense --is advised.
Maybe you're is made of plastic (its a consumer grade mass produced rc copter), but many enthusiasts and professionals are building elaborate carbon fiber quad/hex/octocopters capable of 20-30 minutes of flight and some being able to carry very heavy payloads...
And they are drones, they're UAV's which are capable of both pilot driven and autopilot operation, calling them toys is merely playing semantics.🎥

How do they ban them? Just like anything else. Semi automatic rifles had been legal in CT since forever. This year you had to register what you had and further sales were prohibited. No more 30 round magazines, detachable magazines, pistol grips, etc etc and everything had to be re-registered with finger prints. Even the number of 30 round mags!
It doesnt matter what your copter is made of...carbon, plastic, etc. You have 4 spinning props at a very high rate of speed with a weight of 2-3 pounds. 2-3 pounds doesnt sound like a a lot, but having one of these fall out of the sky and hit you with a spinning prop is going to result in a law suit. I also think this product is attracting more than just the average RC enthusiast. I was attracted to it for its go pro capabilities and had never flown any type of RC unit in the past. I think thats what your going to see with this. True enthusiasts in the RC world will do their best to not make waves and respect the laws and culture of their community. I think since this product seems to attract more than just the average RC guy your going to see people getting themselves into far more trouble than usual.

How?
If law enforcement starts entering the homes of US citizens and takes their RC helicopters, I seriously pity how far your country has fallen and you should seriously consider relocating to lovely places such as north korea...
Im not disagreeing that if you're an idiot and cause a motor vehicle crash or hurt someone (and get caught I might add) that yes you could easily get sued
But call it what it is, it isnt a toy. A rifle isnt a toy, my 250f mx bike isnt a toy, even though I use them for recreation they are tools for a purpose. Whether its just recreational flying, surveillance, search and rescue, law enforcement, military recon, or hell movie making which is a very popular trend.
example
30 minute flight time, FPV capable and can hold a small dslr size camera.
Its a toy to me or you, fun for a laugh, make some home video (thats what my plan is when I build mine this summer of probably a little smaller size, this is too big for me) but its vehicle capable of many other things. Hell didnt fps russia mount a gun on a quadcopter?Great MAGA King status

$250. Inside sim racing did a thorough review video of it and ended up liking it.
And yeah, I've got the fanatec stand also and the thing isn't quite as stable as I'd like but I'm also trying to use it with a rolling office chair that is propped up against stuff to keep it from rolling around so it's probably not the best way to make a final judgement on it.
The fact that I can fold away the playseat and put it in a closet or something is a big deal though.Sig line can't be a novel

i love amazon"When nothing seems to help, I go look at a stonecutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before"

Galways are nice boots...I'm just a bit more partial to the Brogue Wingtip.
I wasn't a huge fan of 9's at first either, but once I got them, it was totally different. They look awesome in person.
I'm more of a fan of the Lebron XI insole though. Zoom foam > Lunar foam, for me.Misc Gen Surg Crew
