It has to do with our violent, solitary, stressful superficial culture that leads to animosity and carelessness. Which kind of rules out guns as the issue because what you have is a bunch of heartless citizens who spend more time on their iphone or working than they do socializing with people, and when they get a gun they just don't give a ****.

I mean look at Canada. You have LEO's asking kindy before they shoot a criminal, and in Australia all people do all day is ride kangaroos and party so there is no reason to worry about criminals.

I can walk into my LGS in Canada and buy all of these, and walk out of the store with a "good day, sir" in 15 minutes.















Canadian firearms ownership is increasing. There are millions of guns in a country with a relatively small population.

If there is low crime, its not because people don't own guns.

Where I live in Canada there is maybe 1 person out of 10 that owns a gun. That is with the exception of hunters. (they own normally between 1 and 5 hunting rifles, never automatic or semi automatic)

I have seen one handgun in my life, and it was my friend's dads gun. He is a cop. He tells me that he rarely uses his gun, and that he definitely doesn't need to take it out on a daily basis.
The last cop murder was over 40 years ago, and they just don't see the point of always shooting people any more.

The crime rate is very low here and I attribute that to having not so many guns around, thieves will choose knives or their fists to fight. They are not as tempted to take advantage of people, because they don't have an object capable of killing from a distance in a matter of seconds.

I am never scared to go out at night, I often walk back home in the city, there is literally no fear of getting shot at. The worst that could happen is to get jumped, where you will be beaten up but not shot and killed. The thing is with guns is that even if you have one to defend yourself, the assailant just has to be behind you, or catch you off guard to shoot you. Once he shoots you, you won't be able to go get your arsenal and take him out, you're done. It's like cheating in life.

I live in Canada and have lots of guns and almost everybody i know or live around has at least one gun. In fact maybe 1 in 10 doesn't own a gun. The crime rate is very low here and i attribute that to our low poverty rate.

ps- 12 million firearms is not a small amount for only 34 million people in fact we rank 12th on the world map

I don't think ayon gives two chits what happens in Canada. Anyways, I think it has to do more with the diversity and the culture in the US. Criminals in the US are not pansies like the ones you find in Canada.

Assume all those rifles have an 18.5" barrel.

In b4 you measure out the barrels to scale in paint just to prove a point.

IF society was run optimally, all you'd need to do would be to raise the consciousness of people so as not to create the type of person who would EVER want to do that. Guns may be illegal here, but my neighborhood/area is littered with violence... Just a couple days ago there was another shooting on my street. Gun laws aren't doing anything to decrease the number of young guys getting illegal pieces. We could go for a quick stroll, and I can show you all the spots where people got shot/killed.

None of the rifles I posted are AR platform brah. Thats why I said I could walk out in 15 minutes.

The Kel-Tec is an SU16 dressed up like an AR. Non-restricted .223.

The other AR-looking gun is a JR Carbine, look at the mag, its pistol caliber. Firing mechanism not exchangeable with AR platform, Non-restricted.
