i mean, generally when people pack food for 'the week' they really mean mon-fri when work or otherwise activities make it more difficult to prepare full meals from scratch everyday. so, if you batch cook your meals on sunday night, then the most your chicken sits in the fridge is 4 1/2 days, really.
or, they prepare foods other than chicken. or they just take a risk eating cooked chicken past the 4 days. can't say i haven't done the same on occasion.

I usually give chicken a week if refridgerated the entire time, unless it looks or smells bad before.
I drank milk on the expiration date too....guess I just live life inthe fast lane.
