    2 Month Bulk / 20 Pounds Heavier

    Hey,

Early September I decided to put on some size because I was sitting at around 160 pounds. It has now been almost 2 months and I have gained around 20 pounds in size. I have been seeing great progress but would like some outside opinions on my bulk.

    - Am I bulking too fast?
    - Do you think I should be cleaning my diet.
    - Is this good progress?

    Lifts
    Deadlift: 155 lbs. - 175 lbs.
    Squat: 135 lbs. - 155 lbs.
    Bench Press: 95 lbs. - 155 lbs.

Note: I tracked my macros with MyFitnessPal for the first few weeks but have been kind of eyeballing it for the past 3 weeks or so and it has been going great.
Another Note: This is just me in a relaxed position, if you would like to see some flexed positions I'd be glad to share.

    Thanks in advance.

your progress is pretty good brah, especially your bench increase, great job there. I think you might be gaining a bit too fast though, id cut back a bit to avoid too much excess fat, but otherwise gjdm.

I'm consuming 3500 to 4000 calories a day and having around 6 daily meals.

    Meals:

Meal 1: 2 Peanut Butter Sandwiches
    Meal 2: Protein Shake
Meal 3: 8 ounce Chicken Breast / 3 Servings of rice
Meal 4: 3 Lean Turkey Hot Dogs
Meal 5: 2 Large Russet Potatoes / 1 Cup of egg sub
Meal 6: 2 Bowls of Cereal

Note: Meals vary as I get bored of foods but the macros stay about the same.

Enjoy your noob gains while you can. If you try to gain at this rate for an extended period of time, you'll have to deal with the fat gains as well.

Too rapid weight gain. How'd your bench shoot up fifty pounds and your DL only twenty?

Yeah dude Im an ecto also so I know the skinny feels. I would keep at your pace, maybe a little slower. Get on a strength routine to get the lifts up and you probably need to get a deadlift form check cause that's really low comparatively. Correct form allows for much more weight to be pulled. Good work.

Gaining weight has always been an issue for me therefore now that it seems to be easier I kind of overdid it. Regardless I'm currently more worried about building muscle than getting fat because I've never had much muscle to begin with.

As far as my bench goes. My form on the bench press was previously terrible and I previously did not have a gym partner to spot me which would better explain why it shot up so rapidly.

I know I need to moderate my bulk but the amount of weight I'm gaining per week has reduced because I'm not increasing my caloric intake. I'm currently only gaining about 1 to 2 pounds a week.

My deadlift is most likely due to the fact that I don't use straps to pull my weight.

you're doing everything right, keep going bro!

Just make sure you focus on squats and deadlifts, if you want mass, those are the two exercises you should really concentrate on!

My bench increasing was a result of a few things:
    - I now have a spotter
    - I previously had bad form

As far as my diet goes, I am now seeing slower progress. I'm now making that 1 to 2 pounds a week because I have not changed the amount of food I eat.

Thanks for your input though man, I appreciate all the help I can get.

Good progress man, it takes motivation to eat that much and gain that weight. I say keep going but like another guy said, focus a lil more on your squat and deadlift and the muscle gains will be better. My lil bro put on the same amount of weight in the same time frame but he was lucky enough to have a good deal of it be muscle. He put on about 15lbs in like 8-10 weeks but he had crazy squat numbers.
