Yeah, I've seen some people be horribly nasty to someone who isn't "in the know" rather than give guidance. Especially if that person is new. Being pretentious in a sure way to not be listened to.
That and the supp forum has it's moments but they're a definite necessity. Just wish people who get a bit of knowledge would share instead of looking down on others who were in the same boat they once were in. :/

Everyone there has a PhD in everything from Weightlifting to philosophy and female genitalia.
"Hell is the Impossibility of Reason"
"Cowards die many times before their deaths, The valiant never taste of death but once."
"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident."

I asked an honest question about influencing insulin with diet to promote muscle growth and all I got in response was OP is an uneducated *******, go home and made to feel like a moron.
I saw an article online and just wanted to see people's opinions. Instead, fat, no lift know it alls chimed in on how stupid my question was. I am still no wiser, but I assume you can't influence it natty.
Dear diary.

Influencing any hormones with diet/training will not do anything for strength or hypertrophy since the hormone levels won't be increased into supra-physiological levels.
It's just not worth fretting about.
Here's a good article with general insulin info,http://weightology.net/weightologyweekly/?page_id=319
