I use to know a guy that was collecting firearms before I was even a sparkle in my dad's eye. He was 52 years old. I use to deliver medicine to his house and he had a beautiful 1911 collection. When I first went to his house it was the first time I ever saw a firearm in person. He was always talking about selling me a handgun when I was old enough but when I was 17 I was honestly uninterested in firearms.
Two weeks before Christmas of 2011 he passed away when his house caught on fire. He died because he was unable to descend the stairs fast enough. He was ~360lbs and about 5'9. Sad.

I got my PSA BCG in today after being on the phone with them for two days and them telling me it hadn't even been shipped. But I wanted to ask, does PSA usually mark that their MPI? I don't see any type of markings on the BCG itself. And should I be mad that it was shipped in the box with just paper loose? I don't think it matters but yea.

There are several riders in MFC actually. We had a large discussion about riding several pages back. I manage a small independent motorcycle shop and we are just now getting our FFL. Should be here tomorrow.
Pics of my shop and start of the bike talk here:

Since IL doesn't have CCW you'll have to ask another bro about the best carry method on a bike.
To other mfc bros here is a message:

You don't even need really good ammo like CCI mini mags/standard velocity. They run well on Federal bulk, on Aguila, and on some others. Basically just not-Remington. I've only shot mine a couple times, but it has been perfect so far, using CCI standard velocity and Federal bulk

Bros, should I make a website like GunBot.net, but better? Scan many reliable sources for ammo, and I would offer instant text message alerts (free) if something pops up under your threshold price per round, and more things to make it stand out.
Would be a hassle to make, but I can make it and I can do it very well. Experienced programmer brah here. Already have thought of a good domain that's available.
Would anyone be interested in a new gunbot.net but with better notifications (so you dont have to sit on it and f5 all day), more sources, more aesthetic, etc? If yes please let me know, just thought seriously about doing this and could use some added motivation to get things going. You'd be surprised at how much I can accomplish and how quickly I can do it.

Also, is it normal for a new bcg to have an extremely tight tolerance with the bolt itself? Seems really stiff to move in and out of the carrier. It's also dry as a bone too though.

That's what I'm thinking. The effort will quickly be well worth it as far as I'm concerned. Time to get started.
You guys will be the first to know, i'll keep you updated along the way as well. The most tedious part will be customizing the page scanner for every single different ammo listing/source/caliber, etc.
Will start off with .223, 9mm, and .45acp then go from there. Plan on covering my ground and getting as many legit sources as possible to make this tool as effective as possible.

One thing you have to consider is when you do the text/email alerts, if you have 100k people to send them to, it will take a while(ammo willl probably be OOS by the time the email/text is sent). But besides that hurdle it could be very useful.
Yes, why 5w30 was invented. Lube up good. Maybe take apart too and lube that way.Misc Firearms Crew
