Damn, I learned today that I can't workout in the morning especially if I'm trying to PR and I bet V-day is the same. I didn't have enough calories in me yet and after my OHP, then Squats, I went back to the locker room and changed my shoes for the deads. Started walking back to my rack, walked around for a minute, then power walked back to the locker room and vomm'ed twice. Had to get the evil out.

Week 13,
Volume Day
1 Day early, no pre-workout (found out I got dat dere high blood pressure)
Ready for this?
Pre Workout BW- 171.8 matched my heaviest ever. (gettin fat, belt was tight as fuark)
Squat
305 x 5
305 x 5
305 x 5
305 x 5
305 x 5
Continuing to increase the V-day/I-day discrepancy. Squats were a little harder as far as focus goes, probably due to no pre workout, but the strength was easily there for all reps. No video because it looks the exact same as last week's 305x5x5, except it's night time.
Bench
Worked on arch... I think I might be getting closer to having decent bench form. I'll post the vids in a bit and then edit.
195 x 5
195 x 5
195 x 5
195 x 5
195 x 5
Set 1
Set 5
Got pretty fuarkin hard at the end! No grinders, but I definitely used some leg drive. The 5th set video looks like I had a super awesome arch, then I dropped my butt down on the bench. I just don't know how much my butt needs to be contacting the bench. I can keep it high like it was before, but I thought it had to be down on the bench... so I dropped. Critique meh!
Power Cleans
All reps started at the hips, lowered to mid shin. So more like a low hang clean, working my way down to the ground.
155 x 3
155 x 3
155 x 3
155 x 3
155 x 3
**** was rough. Triceps were so tight from bench that I could barely rack the bar, so it was all messed up. I'm going to stay at 155 next week and then go up by 5's from there.
I'm stoked about doing so well with no pre workout juice/toxin. I'm hoping that my high blood pressure (142/64) was just a result of taking 2 scoops of c-4 that morning to hit some PR's. No caffeine all week, only creatine mono, and vasodilators.Last edited by HoneyBadger300; 03-31-2013 at 10:02 PM.

bench setup has improved a lot already. i assume you've seen zmcdole's setup vid and the recent JTS one? the biggest thing i notice with those sets is that your bar path changes slightly on almost every rep. give some thought to whether you want to be pushing straight up or a little bit back toward the rack. also hold your breath throughout your set. your heels are coming up a bit, you'd get red lighted at a meet. just keep working on that.
the people demand video of your power cleans.training log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=153696161&page=51

Thanks a lot for the tips. With the changed chest angle, I'm having to re learn how to press all together. The second rep of my first set I pressed straight up and didn't end up with vertical arms and it felt terrible, it wanted to tool out of my hand too, so I think I'm going to try to press towards the rack. Focusing on bench every week now instead of alternating with OHP, hopeful benching more often will let me learn it better.
Power Cleans are too ugly for your oly eyes. I'll make a vid of some hang cleans next week so I can work towards having you sign off on them before starting off lower. My log http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=149523363

TBH my goal was 1000lb club before my birthday (which was the 2nd) and after making that I've kind of just been coasting. My long term goals have now become my short term goals. I'll wait until after I hit 405/275/455 before making anything else long term, although I always think in terms of 25s/45s so next is 455/315/495... But I know it doesn't exactly happen like that, haha.
Just realized that all I need is 405/260/435(same deadlift) to hit 1100. Maybe I'll take a shot at it this Friday. My log http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=149523363

I love it. I've thought about going back to chuck taylors, especially when I watch guys like Ben Rice squat, but at the rate I'm progressing I'd rather not change anything. I'm not exactly sure how they help me out, I just now that I feel a lot more stable squatting with them. With Chuck's I was kind of worried about sitting back so far, I'd actually roll back on me heel a little bit. After getting the shoes and having the tibia angle changed just a little bit, I can sit back and down much better, and my tibias still stay near vertical. I don't know, just know they've really helped my form, strength, and mental focus.

"It's all for you, Damien." Thanks for the article, I'll read it tomorrow when I don't have Human Physiology and Child Developmental Psychology clouding my every thought. Even if these tests plunder my undies, I'll just be glad when they're over.
I just need to figure out how I'm going to advance OHP now. I want to keep doing it, but too much will mess with my bench Pr's on Intensity day. I'll at least keep it light until my bench starts moving again.
Two late nights in a row. Got another rough week where all my tests end up within a few days of each other. Definitely can't be good for recovery, but I've been eating more than I ever have. Recovery Day tomorrow, we'll see if I beat my previous bodyweight PR (which I tied on Sunday).Last edited by HoneyBadger300; 04-02-2013 at 08:16 PM.

Week 13
Recovery Day
BW 171.2 still over 170, so I'm happy.
Squat
225 x 5
225 x 5
OHP
130 x 5
130 x 5
130 x 5
Did one set just to see if it was going to be difficult like 2 weeks ago when I missed my last rep. Felt super easy, so I just did 130 3x5. Super setted them with pull ups.
Wide Grip Pull ups
(Overhand)
BW 3 x 10
Much easier than last time, but I'll still give it another week before I start adding weight
GHR's
BW x 10
BW x 9
(failed 10th)
BW x 5
(failed 6th)
These guys put some nasty sheer in my right knee. I noticed it a bit last week and definitely notice it this week, knee's a bit sore right now. Any advice?
Good little workout, only took about 45 minutes. Any tips on how to avoid knee sheer or unnecessary knee pressure during GHR's? They obviously work my underdeveloped hammies, so I like them, just don't want to squat 360x5 piece of cake and then get ruined by some body weight Glute-ham raises, rofl.My log http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=149523363
