    Rest between sets on cut

I was wondering I know its important to take short rests during workouts to build muscle but if your just tryna maintain muscle it should be ok to take longer rest between sets to really maximize my strengths during workouts. Since I can't build muscle is that ok? Or is short rest nessecery here too?

If you gained all of your muscles taking 2-3 mins between sets, you do the same on a cut. The only thing you change is your diet and you incorporate cardio. As a natural lifter it's really important to keep lifting heavy if you want to keep your muscles.

You can rest, or keep it up. I believe rest and then high intense sets, are the best. It is just like doing HIT cardio , making your heart elevate from a low beat to a fast beat is the best way to burn fat. Also make sure your diet is in check, without that you might as well not workout.

The diet part is never an issue, but last cut I lost a bit of strength during the cycle. Do most of you lose a little strength during cuts?

Example... I been on my cut for just about 4 weeks and went from 8 reps of 225 to 6 reps of 225 on flat bench

Yes, you will probably lose strength on a cut.

And why is it important to take short rests when bulking? Do whatever works for you, 30 seconds, 60 seconds, 5 minutes, whatever you want.

Yes unless youre cutting at an extremely slow rate you will lose some strength. The faster you lose fat usually the more muslce/strenght you lose with it. About 1lb a week is pretty healthy I think.
