If I'm trying to lose body fat should I lift heavy or go light and focus on reps??

You should lift heavy to avoid muscle loss, but the fat loss is going to come from a caloric deficit, not from lifting.

Couple of comments.....first..... vids of e-stated lifts or negs. Second, if you are stating "I'm on a pretty good diet" than unfortunately you aren't on a good diet. Its either strict or it isn't, you are either tracking or you aren't, and you will either get where you want to be or spend years either failing or being "almost there." High rep range is marginally more effective, but by that I mean do 10-12 reps instead of 6-8.

    REP BACK 1k+....just ask

It always comes down to diet. You can maybe burn 300 kcal with a good, intense workout that takes 45 minutes. You can EAT 500 kcal in five minutes.

Pretty good means I'm eating healthy. I didn't ask for any unnecessary comments. I never even said anything about tracking so I don't know where the hell you are getting all this stuff from

Think its hard to believe that your 17 and 166lbs and your lifts are what you say they are. I might be wrong though.... but pretty sure i'm not.

The guy is trying to give you advice. This is a forum and you came here looking for advice. Be receptive, take what you feel is beneficial to you and say thank you and keep it moving to the stuff you don't. If your lifting numbers really are what you say they are then great job, however if they are then you should know the answer to your own question.

What is your caloric intake like right now? Macros?

there really is no such thing as "eating healthy", because it has a different definition per person.
With that said, you cant "eat healthy" and lose weight, it comes down to numbers. Calories and meeting your macro requirements in a deficit will generate fat loss.
There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?
