Ahhh....just saw that thread.
I watched it close and I came away with a different view then you had.
Looked like legs were plenty strong. They out drove your hips. When the hips did not drive (with the whole PC chain) forward and stalled, your legs kept going. As they did, they pretty much locked out and the weight came away from your legs putting more lever force on the back. That forced you to drop the weight.
Watch again real close. You back and hips stall, and your leg keep going to lockout.
I know you dont want to hear this....but rack pulls my friend. You legs are NOT your weak spot. You strengthen up your PC a little and you should be pulling 650+. If you dont like rack pulls....do RDL's for a bit.

I dunno about "skyrocketing"...I pulled 550 on Dec 2nd, so it's been a gain of 15 lbs over 2.5 months.
But yeah; a 600 lb DL seems feasible to me for the first time after today.
Thanks flint.
The damage was actually done by the 495 x 3 set that I did last after the 575 fail. I didn't even notice right away. Was sitting on the bench recovering and I happened to lower my head and saw blood all over the floor. At first I thought I had a nosebleed, then I noticed my hand.

Absolutely! Members at my gym would have stopped training to appreciate such feat of strength. Even the granny cardio bunnies on treadmills would have dropped their dentures in awe.
Great job, Flex!

love it, the race is on to 585
This is a little humbling, but after a long long (a year and a half) break from squats I started doing them again today, I did several sets and this was the topset. Hopefully every week I'll be increasing the reps and weight until i'm back to at least 405 x 10.

Thanks Flex!!!
LMAO... I seriously spit out water when I read that. Thanks bro...
I hadn't done barbell OHP in years and decided to attempt a 1 RM because of the competition going. I managed 95lbs but with a struggle. I thought I would be able to do more since I can do the equivalent of 90lbs in DB's for several reps. I don't know if BB is just harder or if I am just not used to it.

Nothing special for most of you but I set a PR in squats doing 235X1 I started at 155 and worked up, hit 195X2, then 205X1, 225X1 then 235X1.
I work in a controlled space so can't do videoDave

This is where we say something like "Rome wasn't built in a day."
I'm not squatting much more than you, but I was pumped the first time I could squat two plates. Good work man. With hard work, we will both be squatting 3 plates before we know it.
My current personal milestone was deadlifting 300 pounds for 10 reps. I don't have video, but that was a nice feel.No negative energy, I will mute ya

Can I join the 'my squat sucks, today' crew? really... mine blows.. tons of excuses are available, however, I am not using them. Just, working on it, training it, and hitting it as hard as I can. See you boys post 2 plates for reps... lol... when we get to the 'chicken legs' level.. and start looking at 'turkey legs'.
Started training 531 a few months ago.. when 315 dead for 4 reps was my max.. just jammed out 10 reps last week... awesome stuff.. check out the program.--

You remind me of 2 women at my gym.
#1 - my GF
#2 - a friend of mine's gf...
They both have this funny tendency of sitting on the bench, or machine of the guy who worked out last, and add weight, and rep it out, and laugh and laugh... and laugh...
It would be different I think, if the guys they mocked, tried. But, they don't. Else, we would respect them for trying.. as we do.
Good set.. love to see anyone struggling and pushing thier limits... in the end the lbs don't matter.. its the mindset.... its the personal challenge.
good stuff.--

So far no strength loss on my cut. Last set of DB incline from last nights chest workout 6 reps with the 100's. Not sure if the camera helps me push more or not, I think I had a few more in me but didn't want to have the DB's drop from 3 feet up if I failed. Swallowing the pride a little on this one though, was totally bloated from a good carb up last weekend.

Great lift frozensparky!
I hit a new PR today, DL 425 x1...not what some of you are hitting, hopefully I'll make it to those numbers soon. I was doing my lift and there were half a dozen younger guys around me that completely stopped what they were doing to compliment me, can't lie itfeltgoodman, I said thanks and secretly thought....(glad they don't see what the other guys in O35 are deadlifting!!)
I'm at a crossroads now, been doing great on bulking and hitting PR's every week, thinking of switching up the routine and going a little lighter for a month or two.....probably will end up just doing a deload week and then hitting it heavy again bc I love hitting the big numbers.Lift light until you can lift right
