Wow that's some serious verbiage. Props to pinch. Another thing to know about cortisol blockers is that really its about stress reduction. So having a better job that keeps you happy or taking a cortisol blocker that helps you to adapt to stress can help too.

    stress reduction is numero uno

and you dont wanna block cortisol per se. You may wanna influence its metabolism though, and 11b-HSD1 reductase inhibition can do that. Or influence certain aspects of its activity by modulating transcription factors or post translational phenomena, and some compounds can acheive that as well

    I like 11-KT as well.

Hmm, thanks^ I had to Google it, but their source study is interesting.

Interestingly, I was looking this up earlier, for the potential memory benefits. Excuse my ignorance, but has Lean Extreme been around and popular for a while now?

Why was the 7-OH removed? I know a fair amount of organic chem and such, but am learning some good stuff via this thread.

    Ashwagandha

In the past I have used cissus to lower cortisol levels which is very effective. Makes me feel great at first but then I would develop side effects after a few weeks. Like acne and anxiety. So I believe you are right with it increasing other hormones.

Recently I heard about Ashwagandha which is advertised as an anti anxiety and calming herbal supplement. It works by aiding the body to cope with stress which results in lower cortisol levels. I've been on it for about a month now and still feel amazing. No acne and the slight anxiety that I have on the regular is gone. No other side effects I can notice either I'm about to start a thread on it
