LMAO!! I haven't read her book and only learned who she was and just HOW close she was to us after my son was born. We have always just called it the Hippie Farm. Full-blown, non-armpit hair shaving hippies. But the ones I have met from there were pretty cool. I think I'm probably a little TOO conservative for orgasmic birth...I think I'd much prefer hubs to be the only one who sees the weirdness that become me when that hits, LOL

I would not even grace that post of hers with a response. There will always be people who feel self-entitled and think they know what life is about and how best to live it. Sad thing is they will probably spend most of it analysing other people and picking faults with what they are doing as appose to living their own lives.
I know a few people like this and the ironic thing is they have nothing much going on in their lives yet try to point out where others are "not doing it right".
Bottom line: as long as you are happy ignore the rest.

I'm gonna sound like a douchebag for this, but stupid people rustle my jimmies. Have you ever met someone who was just a complete airhead? It's annoying.

That would make me rage.
Gotta go the passive aggressive route...
I would have responded:
"Oh, I'm sorry honey, did you mean to post this on your secret FB support group? I can delete it if you want to. Look, if you ever need a friend to talk at, I hear that they have apps that you can download to your iPhone that will put up with your bullchit..."

My jimmies are rustled today because of my kid. (Watch out, lame Mom about to rant about nothing interesting!)
My son was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis (Proctitis) when he was 9 months old. It was a terrible 9 months because my dr refused to listen to me that there was something wrong with him and insisted that he was just spitting up, not sleeping and OTHER things because babies are unpredictable and are all different. Finally I demanded an allergist after my son started sloughing his intestinal walls and bleeding. My dr effing sucks and is also my neighbour. She won't even talk to me about the EG, direct me on how to deal with it or even help me to understand it. I researched it all on my own. Pretty much the advice I got was "Avoid the food that he reacts to. Hopefully he outgrows it by 2 yrs old." So, he turns 2 next week. Dairy is the major evil, however there are many others. I let him try small amounts in the past 2 weeks of different things and I thought he was doing really well... Then he exploded.
He is now reacting to things he didn't before. Grapes, raisins, banana's, pickles, ANY slight trace of dairy...He has trouble with citrus, strawberries and tomatoes too. I am so bummed. I hate having to deny him all of this stuff and I am pissed that I have no guidance or support from my effin dr. Because we are now at the 2 yr mark which I think I held out hope that he would be over it and we could move on. Now I just feel kind of lost.
Guess the next step is to fight for a new dr, see another specialist and maybe contact a naturopath. More than anything I wish I could know what he reacts to for sure, instead of trying it and him having a horrible painful reaction.
Rant, over.

Sorry to hear Fawnl. From what I have briefly read on the net about this the main medical treatment for this is steroid based medicine which is why they may have avoided medicating your son at a young age. I may be way of the mark here but just a thought.
hopefully this time you get a doctor who has some experience with this issues and can advise and guide you better and put together a workable treatment plan.
Good luckVic's transformation thread: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=147620463

My left elbow is bloody well scrunching my jimmies, never mind rustling them. Ever since doing triceps yesterday, there has been this dull throb, and its now starting to get on my nerves.
Also, having un-equal length arms, makes any movement which connects the two (benching, curling e.t.c) awkward.-101,221, I can see the light - thanks

so i have 2 jobs and a full time load of classes. my workout schedule is pretty un-flexable. since its the beginning of the semester SOOO many ppl are at my already tiny gym. they use machines wrong, hog benchs, do bench pressing in the squat rack. take the squat bars to do weird throwing things I cant even...
then theres these women who like mess around with machines for hours. so i`m stuck waiting and waiting and waiting.... then they get rude when i ask how much longer. RAWR Jimmies, rustled beyond repair<<<***Boston Misc Crew***>>> ♣ BOSTON STRONG ♣

Your not off mark at all. That is the main treatment. Way back when my son was 9 months old they offered to do a biopsy of his colon. I said ummmmm.... No. It would only get me a firm diagnosis. No help, just pain for the baby. I don't want to medicate him. More than anything I need help navigating through the mess of information and determining what he reacts to and how to manage the reactions when he DOES have them. Nutritionist and new dr. Steps 1 and 2.
Penny, the allergist said that Cain is one of only 2 people he has ever diagnosed with EG in his 30 yrs practicing. I guess it's a relatively rare genetic condition. From what I have read anyway. I am thinking about calling sick kids in Toronto to see if they can at least point in the right direction.

My cousin suffers with crohn's disease which means he has to manage the foods he eats to insure he does not have any issues with his bowels or colon.
I can ask him where he is getting his info from and/or what he is doing to manage and let you know if you think that might help.Vic's transformation thread: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=147620463

how old is your son now? when i was diagnosed with my disease (its rare ~1/2 in every million, and was misdiagnosed for years), they threw me on a heap of steroids for a bit but i eventually got off them and i`m doing js fine. i was about 16/17 though. just be careful of the calcium effects, weight gain, and moon's condition (bloated face) if you do do it. if you need any advice on dealing with the steroids - if you go through with it - i`m more than willing to help !

My Fitness Pal has completely ruslted my effing jimmies. Here's why:
It tells me:
Total Cals: 1446
P: 140
C: 137
F: 45
And I'm thinkin', "Sweet... I'm a little over on protein and carbs, but under on fat." Then I get to thinking that I'm not enough under on fat to compensate. So I get out my calculator. And this is what my calculator tells me:
P: 140g = 560 cals
C: 137g = 548 cals
F: 45g = 405 cals
Grand fukking total: 1513!!!!!
WTF MFP? How long have you been doing this to me?!?!?! Anyone else having this issue? I know you mens in here are prolly like "what's 50 cals gonna do?" But when you're on a 12 week cut it will make a freakin' difference!!!!___________________________________________________________
