well, you certainly are a strong mutha, that is for sure, buddy...
personally: I like to hesitate on the SLDLs and concentrate on contracting my erectors....I don't like to use any speed or momentum in that movement...
as to the leg curls...YEESH...I do those with pansy weights..lol....Lift as MUCH as you can, for as MANY reps as you can,
while in complete control of the exercise.

But I have to be, I am going up against you
That is why I posted the video to show you that I can curl pretty decent weight yet the GHR kick my freaking ass.
Yes, they are truly not a joke.
They are really tough, way harder than SLDL or Deadlifts for me at least
I am on a box, I go down till I feel a stretch on my hams
Thanks man
LOL I can't picture you using pansy weights JohnOn the list for Bannukah

I am putting up a vid tomorrow.
I can do a solid single, just can't et up from rep #2.
I really don't think there is an exercise for getting better at GHRs than just doing them themselves, but if I HAD to pick one, it would be heavier good mornings.Sheriff John Brown always hated me

I did a hamstring drop set this morning , and SLDL's and then attempted the GHR. Mistake - couldn't even go half as far as i usually can .
Upper body tomorrow so will try GHR when legs are fresh.http://www.myfitnesspal.com/jedwab1976

I did them first. I did 3 or 4 sets of singles. Well, they turned out to be singles because I couldn't rise from the 2nd rep.
And then I did some where I let myself drop at the bottom and worked in getting myself back up
Then squatting and the rest of lower. But when I got to GMs I noticed the *feel* on the way up is similar, so I went much heavier than usual and did less reps---4-5.
But yep. Just like when people ask me "how can I get better at pull-ups?" I tell them to keep pulling up. This is the same. More practice with GHRs are gonna make better GHRs.
Getting 2 in a row would be nice...Sheriff John Brown always hated me
