Feel faint and flat day after working out.

I have only just started training again after several years out. On Friday I put in a decent session but yesterday I felt quite terrible all day.

I had a faint feeling and anxiousness all day that I couldn't shake off with the odd chest pain here and there.

Whilst out for food I had a feeling of impending doom, it was quite horrible tbh but I managed to fight it off.

Has anyone suffered from something like this, I'm on a calorie deficit of around 2200-2300 calories a day, could this be the cause?

How do you feel today? When is the last time you had a physical? Are you significantly overweight and/or out of shape?

Maybe you just overdid it, but there's a reason people are advised to check with their doctor before starting strenuous exercise.

More likely your training program as the root cause, if there’s not an underlying health issue.

Are you saying your are eating 2200 calories a day, or you are eating 2200 calories BELOW your BMR each day?

Slightly better today, still not 100% though.

If I'm being honest for the last several months I've been going through all sorts of issues, the doctors seem to think they're mental as I've had numerous ECG's including a stress test and all have been fine.

I have been convinced that I am suffering from a heart problem but apparently I'm not, this has been causing me to have terrible anxiety attacks, almost debilitating. For the last couple of months I've been OK but these last few weeks I feel my body has been more stressed since I've been exercising, and they say exercise is great for anxiety.

Sorry for making that confusing, I'm on around 2200 a day, I don't think that is drastically low but I imagine I've been cutting a good thousand a day from what I used to eat.

I don't know you and I don't mean to be insulting, but you do sound like a bit of a hypochondriac and someone who could benefit from psychiatric care/advice.

Unless you also have severe DOMS, I suspect your reaction to training is another physical manifestation of ongoing mental issues.

Yes, but chest pains are a symptom of panic attacks. Yesterday's episode might not even be related to training.

Sense of impending doom or danger
Fear of loss of control or death
    Rapid, pounding heart rate
    Sweating
    Trembling or shaking
Shortness of breath or tightness in your throat
    Chills
    Hot flashes
    Nausea
    Abdominal cramping
    Chest pain
    Headache
    Dizziness, lightheadedness or faintness
    Numbness or tingling sensation
    Feeling of unreality or detachment

I have been feeling off for almost 48 hours now, must be some panic attack.

I'm not sure if I've just overdone it and it's thrown my body off for a while.
