Definitely interesting in this. I don't have my results anymore but long before I started working out or paying attention to nutrition my creatine levels were absurdly high according to tests. The doctor and my parents accused me of taking an insane amount of creaine daily, I never figured out what it was.

Supplemental glutamine does absolutely nothing for a bodybuilder, so think about that.
Here's a better response that hopefully closes this thread down for you:
High-ish levels of creatinine aren't abnormal for someone who uses creatine and eats large portions of meat. High creatinine levels are not automatically an issue. Your eGFR is above 60 so that's good, there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Kidney disfunction is not the result of eating a lot of meat or using creatine.Psych & handcuffs

either way. GFR is not a way to properly determine kidney function, this is what went wrong with the original "protein is bad for you" study. Creatinine may be high in lifters. They can take a look at your BUN/creatinine clearance would be a better way to determine kidney function

Perhaps you should avoid reading the rants of folks who have no understanding of the topic they're writing about.

Quick question: Why is it you come onto the forums asking for advice and then try and prove to us that you know more than we do? You are looking for advice, yet when it is given to you it isn't sufficient enough?? You have been given some good advice in here and I suggest you utilize the links that people have given you and educate yourself on the topic.
- Your mindset influences your outcome. It's time to take out phrases like "I can't" or "I don't have time" and replace them with phrases like "I will make the time" and "I will keep working at it until I find a way that works." Success starts with the right mindset and believing in yourself and your dreams.

Got my test results back today last day I took L-Glut was the the day i posted this.
Creatinine <=1.34 mg/dL 1.22
Glomerular filtration rate, nonAfrican American >=60 mL/min >77
GLOMERULAR FILTRATION RATE - AFRICAN AMERICAN >=60 mL/min >60
Doctor said it was the l-glutimine that was irritating my kidneys
This is what i was taking jarrow l-glutamine powder
http://www.amazon.com/Jarrow-Formula...utamine+powder
was taking 10 - 12 grams a day.
was going to wait 3 weeks but i emailed him about the l-glut and he said stay off of it and wait a week for test. I'm sure some people can take it but not me.

Everything I posted was true, and I got my advice from a Medical Doctor... How old are you, what's your background? My doctor told me he had 23 year old and a 27 year old come in for a kidney test both were off like mine, they had high creatine levels and a low gfr both stopped the creatine and both of there kidney tests normalized he said he didn't know a lot about l-glut but that it has been known to raise kidney levels and in powder form not water soluble...
Bro Science is dangerous bro... Good luck with your dying early goals of 2014!
