So I've recently started weighty lifting to build muscle and I have been reading into it quite a lot, I know I need around 1 gram of protein, 2.5 of carbs and 0.25 of fat per pound I weigh which then for me equates to 130 grams of protein, 320 grams of carbs and 32-33 grams fat. Which comes to about 2150 calories, is this the right amount or should my ratios be different?
I'm 130 pounds, 5'11" and 15 years old
Thanks

At 15 years old, counting macros will have bigger negative outcomes than positive.
You're at a prime age for growing, and your body's metabolism will fluctuate greatly.
- lift
- eat
- lift more
- eat more
- join a sport
- nail the hottest chick at school
- lift and eat more
- don't forget to do your homework
- did I mention just lift and eat?
At most, consider having a whey protein supplement at home, in case your appetite doesn't lend itself to a sufficient protein intake in your diet. Although even that may be unnecessary for you.ig: @monkaycrak

Stop counting calories and protein and carbs... this is not healthy at your age.
You are still growing, and you require a lot of nutrition in order to develop properly... listen to your body. Be active and lift, but eat in a way that allows you to grow and feel good."When I die, I hope it's early in the morning so I don't have to go to work that day for no reason"

i'd say the only thing you should worry about with nutrition at your age is try to avoid too much junk food like chips, snack cakes, and stuff like that. try to go for more meat and potatoes and vegetables instead of filling up on carbs...maybe...
5'11 and 130 seems kind of skinny...maybe try to hit the weights hard and listen to your appetite?Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House
