Hey; he wants to give his body more time to rest. It's a smart move for him. He'll train for one of the later shows. He doesn't have to win it, just qualify for the O. Personally; I think that the closer to the Mr. O shows will be his best bet. He'll just have to make sure he's in the top three.

i agree that this is prolly a smart move for kai... he's come in off for the O the past 2 years, so this time off will give him a chance to recover from all the dieting, get back on track, and bring a better package to the stage next year. if he can hit his peak right this coming O it should be an interesting show

He can't focus on just the O. As of 1/3/11 he is not invited to it and has to qualify for it.

He has to focus on atleast 2 shows this year. Advantage swings back to Phil and Jay.

My brother is retired for good, but there are still a few stories to tell so there might be an RTB4!

There is a fine line between being tough and being stubborn. If I broke my foot, I don't think I would try and be Mr. Tough Guy and prove to people I can take the pain when I can go and get it fixed! lol

Not saying Kai was stubborn though. From that video, his mind set seemed to be that addressing any problem would hold him back due to recovery time, and that he could still manage with the injury, so why fix it?
