I think the very fact that you're aware of this and want this gives you a head start on the rest of the people in this world. Just don't try to do everything for everyone. There's not enough time in a lifetime. Figure out where you'd really like to make a difference. For me, I'd like to become more honorable and have a very high integrity. Or at least be known as one who is. It's off topic but your fear made me think of this.

How do you cope? (serious).

I don't. I'm taking about 700 pills a month. Hardcore stuff like Methadone, Morphine, Norco etc. My back is always in pain but sometimes it flares up. I spent 2 weeks on the couch unable to move from December 22nd through January 5th. I spent xmas eve, xmas, new years eve, new years alone, in pain on the couch. It's been like this for 4 years. I carry pill bottles with me wherever I go.

Honestly, miscers are sick of me talking about it so I try not to get into it in detail. I'm looking into some very risky surgeries but could help. Still, all the doctors say that we can't know if they'll work till we do them. The last one didn't do a damn thing and I spent 6 months recovering.

I'm not sure where I'm going to be able to work and my money from the settlement wasn't much and won't last. So I dunno. Still figuring it out.

I think my heart is in the right place but in my upbringing I got the impression that I cannot be good enough. Never connect with my father when I was young. Now I am after getting a great job and graduating Uni with straight A's. I simply try to let people know I care in my own way. I make people laugh. I think our parents have a profound influence on us. I even think that on this forum do I make a difference because I really try to help people out here by giving good advice. I just don't know. I guess I need to know that I help some people out...
