Weightlifting and the buteyko method - does anyone have experience?

Hi guys, I'm new here.

I'm an asthmatic and recently discovered the buteyko method. However, the closemouthed breathing they prescribe is not exactly applicable with the gym since we do get air from our mouth and exhale with at as well when we workout.

Can anyone help me out?

Sorry, which forum should I have put it in?

I already know what buteyko is, i've already done a couple of sessions. What I'm asking is, is it possible to breathe thru ones nose for weightlifting?

It's possible but would take a bit of practice and conditioning. The other day I was panting like a fat mofo that just ate a whole pig walking up like 7 stories of stairs.

Was a bit hard to breath through the nose then.

As for what forum, I'm not really sure... I tend to stay in the Nutrition zone.
