My question is what is the limitation of the human body in terms of protein intake? when does it get to a stage when the rest is just excreted?

Unknown. There's no official number on this
My guess is that it's over 4g/lb in a day and may even be significantly more than that. It's definitely much higher than what's practical to eat.
.8g/lb will cover you most of the time. More can be better in some cases, but I doubt going over 1.5g/lb would be useful in a bodybuilding context.
If your question is about protein per meal (and not just daily intake), it's not so much about how much protein your body can utilize, but how much of it the body can utilize to build muscle. For most people, MPS is going to cap out around 2.5g leucine/meal. This means if you eat more protein than that, your body will just use it to do something other than build muscle. You don't just excrete it out.You can't help the hopeless.
