I tried to copy the pose from the "Animal Owners Manual". I couldn't get it black and white though (or rather was too lazy to do so). You guys should like this

Hey Richie191!
Man, your legs look awesome! It's kinda neat how much you look like the Animal Pak guy! Wow.
Keep up the good work, and congrats on being 2002 Teen Kentucky!

Top Twelve Reasons (Excuses) Why So Many Guys Aren't Motivated To Train Legs
12. When you do it properly... it hurts!
11. Two words: long pants
10. Putting all those weights on the squat rack is so time consuming.
9. "I left my weight belt in the car."
8. "I did legs last month. Do I have to do them again?"
7. "I get enough leg work playing basketball and walking on my job."
6. "I don't want to do legs, because I have to be on my feet at work all day tomorrow and I don't want them to be sore."
5. "I have naturally big legs. I don't want them to get any bigger."
4. Did I mention that it hurts!
3. The biceps femoris has a crappy public relations agent.
2. Ronnie Coleman bought up all those bright yellow, thigh-hugging, spandex stretch pants.
1. "But it's Monday! And we gotta do chest on Monday!"

Richie, thats definitely a set of wheels that anyone would be proud to own. That's some new motivation for me the next time I get under the squat rack.
And for Skip, I think I have heard every one of those excuses at the gym. It doesn't bother me because it leaves all of the squat and power racks open for me. Its like I have a whole section of the gym to myself, that is, unless some chump decides they need to do barbell curls in the cage...I have room in my trunk for these people.Stop worrying so much about overtraining. Worry about undereating and under-resting. If it works keep it up. If it doesn't, get rid of it. Compound lifts rule. So does unprocessed food.
With milk at $5 a gallon how do some of you afford so many useless supps?

i tend to do cycles where i stick to one core excercise for months at a time. i try to build up as much strength as i can and when i get to a sticking point, i switch to another excercise. for the past year or so ive stuck to box squats. besides warmup, i only do 2-3 actual working heavy sets. then i may or may not do another compound excercise for a heavy set or two, and then heavy leg extensions for a set or two. that's it. nothing special. my legs grow like crazy. i actually stopped working them out but like once a month until about a month out from nationals. then i trained them like normal and any mass that i lost came back. im kinda the opposite of most people. i hate training chest (probably becuz it sucks so bad) and i love training legs. but i do chest more than anything, and legs not so much, especially quads. but like my quote says in another thread "do what you SHOULD do, even if you don't want to"
btw, that was my QUAD workout. i do hams on a different day
I never really used to train legs..only over the past few months have I taken my leg training to the next level.
That picture motivates me
I myself am doing 4 sets of very light squat warm ups & 3 sets of 4-6 rep working squats, 2 sets of stiff leg deads & calf raises.
nice pic
