I have 3 samples of it laying around and decided to use it intra workout yesterday for my chest day.

I must say this stuff was amazing in terms of recovery time and endurance. I actually hit a PR on flat.

The taste, tho, tasted like throwup. You know when you throw up and have that nasty throw up after taste? Yea, that's exactly what it tasted like.

I dunno if it was b/c it was in the sun back when I ordered my last shipment or if it really tastes like that. Any input? I'm definitely looking to order this stuff tho regardless but just wonderin

I find it needs to be on ice for it to taste good. I take my nalgene, add half ice, PW and water. Even then, after the ice melts, it can kind to start to taste like crap.

Mix it with cold water than stick it into the freezer for a bit before your workout. the colder the better. the purple lemonade flavor is far superior to the juicy grape IMHO.

I don't find it does at all, just mix the ish out of it when you first add the water.

Whey stays stable in liquid for a while as long as it is cold. As far as PW is concerned i'm not sure but I assume it doesn't, i'm only talkin 10-15 mins anyway. It'a an intra drink as well so you should be consuming it over your whole workout. If it didn't stay stable then there would be a problem.

Ah gotcha makes sense. I didn't know about the whey staying stable below room temp. I just mix and chug haha. Thanks for the extra info!

Some it might settle out if it's been sitting around for a while. So you just have to give it a good shake before you start drinking it. (I think that's what you were asking).

And as other people have said, it definitely tastes way better if it's cold. I've left it in my car and it got warm and tasted pretty bad.

I workout at the rec on campus and left my water in the car (i still parked in the garage tho) and when I got to the rec, didn't know it would taste aweful in luke warm water. Lesson learned, tho PW is still the ish.

when i tried the samples i took a sip with just cold water and some ice.. needed to be colder for me. i found popping it in the freezer for a bit before made it a little more tolerable. just right before it would get slushy. although i did see some video reviews that said they liked to turn it into a slush. but either way.. colder the better it seems.

I unfortunately don't have that luxury of the freezer since I'm working out right after my 12:45 pm classes. Oh well =/ I'll find a way FTW

I tried the purple lemonade. It smelled great and the first time tasting it was good, but then 2 secs later a rush of throwup numbed my whole tongue. I will definitely try colder water next time.

Everyone's different tho. I remember trying NO Xplode the first time I hit the bb scene and hated it. Later, I've heard a lot of ppl raving about it's taste, the same flavor I had. Oh well. As long as it works and is supposed to do what it's supposed to do, it'll be incorporated into my supplementation

Taste isn't great but good for being EAA. It totally DON'T taste like vomit.

I like the incense smell of the tubs though, too bad it doesn't taste as funky as the smell =P


Imho none of PW lemonade or grape, WF lemonade or GM lemonade was great tasting but all of them have improved on me with time. All taste fine. I prefer grape over lemonade, or atleast did, think they taste the same or something. Maybe something is wrong with me

I'm in the same boat. When I workout after classes, I put only the PW powder in a shaker. Then I add water from the water fountain when I'm leaving school. Just try to find a really cold water fountain. It'd be even better if you had access to some ice, but I've found my technique to be useful.

Definitely tastes better cold. I've left mine mixed in a hot trunk of a car before and it tastes like ass hot/warm.

I think CL reformulated the taste somewhat not too long ago. You may have some of the old concoction.
