    Carb Cycling 101

So I have decided to start a carb cycling diet mainly based off a diet described by Twin Peaks in this article: www bodybuilding com / fun / par30. htm

last year i lost 55 lbs and gained 10 lbs back (intentionally). Even when i was on my lowest weight, i still had love handles. This is something I hope to lose while following this diet. I have made pretty good gains, muscle wise and i want to show them off by being more cut.

I want to use this post to hear y'alls input on what y'all think of diet, any tips y'all have, as well as meal ideas for no carb days. I'm also going to log my macro's and observations, so here we go.

7/4/11 (monday) was a high carb day. My macros for that day ended up being 250g of protein, 240g of carbs, and 50g of fats. I felt really good during this day. It could have been the excitement of starting a new challenge or the overload in glycogen. Gym wise, it was an ok day since it was chest day and my right shoulder had been bothering me. My pecs ended up being sore the next day, so at least i did a good job. I also ran 2 miles.

7/5/11 was a low carb day. My macro's ended up being 198 grams of protein, 122 grams of carbs, and 45 grams of fat. My mood wasn't so great (due to work bs). It wasn't as hard as i thought it would be to only consume a minimum amount of carbs. I basically figured i wanted to consume around 20 grams of carbs with every one of my meals, (i eat 6, including my post shake and before bed shake as them.) At the gym I did back. It was a good workout, but the stress made me irritable and tired, so i did what i had to do and hauled ass out of there. no cardio.

So there you have it folks, the beginning of a new journey for me. Let me know what y'all think. As always, your input is always appreciated.

so you only consumed 1685 calories on a low carb day? seems like a drastically /unnecessary low intake to me, and is there any particular reason you are splitting that into 6 meals?
