    Aube's Powerlifting Log

    Hi I'm Aube,

I'm on a quest to being the strongest lifter I can be. I'm lifting in the IPF and I'm a 83 kg lifter and soon to be 93kg. I've been dealing with a lot of injuries and set-backs in the past few years but my total kept increasing over the meets I've been in. My current ''long term'' goal is to hit 1500 lbs(680+ kg) at 2017 CPU Nationals which seems like a realistic goal for me.

Currently in my off-season and my next meet is in November 15 for Quebec Provincials.

My YouTube channel is Aube Powerlifting
    Best Meet (Nov 2016)
    665 kg/1466 @ 86.2/190

In the off season I'm working mostly with lift variations which reduce the overall intensity. It's a good mental deload for me so when I start my next prep in 13 weeks I'll be fresh physically and mentally to put my 100% effort into it.

    Thanks!

Nah I'm not strong enough...yet. I had spare on all my lifts last meet so I know I'm in the right direction.
    My next meets are:
    -Provincials in November (17 weeks) and my goals are 215/147.5/257.5 = 620 kg/1366 lbs @ 83 kg/183 lbs
    -June goals: 640 kg/1410 lbs @ 93 kg
    -Unknown meet
    ...
    -2017 Nationals

I'd say after 2017 Nationals in 21 months I think I'll start being competitive for big comps like this one. Plan is 1500 @ 93 kg by then. After that I might cut to 83 but leaner than now.

    6x6x285 lbs

+assist (Ab wheel, knee raise, back extension)

Got all the reps I needed which I couldn't do 3 and half weeks ago. I'm glad lifts variations are improving even if it seems light compared to my comp lifts.

Sounds like you've got a pretty solid plan, I'm sure you'll go a long way. I hold a flicker of hope of qualifying to do an international meet, but the people in front of me are far in front and the crop of juniors behind me is sick as well... So i'll just hold on as long as I can until I hit masters

Skittles are the GOAT preworkout, you need to stick with them.

After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

Except when they almost make you sick hehe.

    Paused HB Squat:
    6x3x 325 lbs/147.5 kg

    3/3/2/1x 275 lbs/125 kg

Took me 2h15 to finish it. Kinda injured my right pec on bench. I'm gonna add db flies to stretch the pec 3x/w + do more prehab so it gets better.

8 Training left before I leave for vacation for 2 weeks. I will do 2 low bar squat days next week. On the first I'll do sets with 315 and the second I'll go up to 355 which is just under 80% of my max.

The OHP was really hard like RPE 9.5-10 each set but it's definitely a rep/set Pr.
