No it doesn't. I own a bicycle, helmet, etc. I ride my bike on bike trails with my friends for fun and exercise. I walk my bicycle across crosswalks.
I take my bike in my car to the bike trail parking lot and back home from the parking lot. That's the proper way to use bicycles without making life difficult for drivers.White 18-24 year old fit virgins with no tattoos and no debt=GOAT Women.

I'm a guy who cycles probably 3000 miles every year.
I think any animosity toward cyclists is the result of the attitude of cyclists in the past. Some cyclists have some sort of god complex and it causes them to act like total *******s. There have been plenty of times where a cyclist tried to tell me how to do things, and I told him to fuk off. Or I was driving and the cyclist trued gettting all hostile for absolutely no reason.
The problem with cycling is that a small number of the people who do it are antosocial angry loser types who choose a solo sport because they aren't able to operate in a normal civilized society. These people ruin it for everyone else.

I'm pretty far right leaning.
We have a problem with a lack of pedestrian infrastructure in the country. Kids can't play in most suburbs because traffic is so dense now, and no provisions have been made for bike travel. This is affecting their development as independent navigation builds spatial awareness thus spawns the ability to do complex operations and logic. We are programmed by our navigational aids. Other countries saw this coming and provided bike paths for everyone.
You're seeing bikes in traffic because that's the only place they can go. Its obnoxious but we really should have more bike paths for everyone. The cyclists are diks, but that shouldn't spoil it for the rest of us. If you care about posterity, you should support more bike lanes.Jesus wasn't a pacifist

Nothing wrong with bicycles, just stay off the fuking road. The whole excuse of "but it's dangerous to pedestrians" is nonsense. It's way more dangerous to be driving right next to cars, it slows down traffic immensely, and causes stress to drivers constantly worrying about hitting some fahgot on a bike.

Had a cyclist hit my car two weeks ago (I was at a complete stop and honked my horn). Dumbass didn't even look up and ran right into me. Road cyclists act like the rules of the road don't apply to them and therefore are no different from some pajeet pedestrian looking for an insurance scam.

I'm not against cycling at all; it's clean and gives people exercise and as you rightly point out helps to put some dent in the obesity crisis.
But ultimately, even though cycling can be seen as a good thing, that can't make me blind to the arrogance of a massive majority of cyclists on the road; they pay no road taxes, are not insured, have no license plate, and literally any kunt can ride a bike on the road with 0 training or qualification, yet very often behave like they own the road, whilst simultaneously using the pavement, or road when it suits them (i.e switching to pavement at a red light). Too many cyclists think they own the road and do not respect the fact that they are sharing the road with giant machines that could very easily kill them, whether they believe they have the moral highground or not.
This is England though, experiences elsewhere may vary; i must admit when i've been in Amsterdam the bicycle culture is much better at least among the locals. Englands cyclist infrastructure is starting to improve though with a lot more cycle paths now, which helps to keep them seperated from drivers and more tolerable.Last edited by TappingTheZen; 03-26-2024 at 07:14 AM.
