Anyone here ever dealt with pelvic floor dysfunction?

Recently diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction. My pelvic floor is extremely tight and stressed which is leading to constipation and other GI issues. My baseline relaxation is similar to other’s who are actively doing kegels. Not sure what caused it, but I’m thinking my desk job + stress were biggest culprits.

Starting PT soon, but I want to ensure the best possible outcome with additional home stretching and exercise. I see a lot of websites stress that yoga poses targeting my pelvic floor are very useful in addition to meditation and focusing on relaxing my pelvic floor muscles.

Anyone here dealt with and fixed PFD?

All these rely on the pelvic floor to be fully stretched and then statically held. So its possible if you read up on these it may help. Ive only had to deal with a friend with a hernia in that region, not tightness.

Male. Doing it through Mayo and the booklet I got mentioned biofeedback aa being a big part of the program.
